These numbers for an artist in the pop scene from 15 years it's good. Taylor and Beyoncè are two expections. 

 

Just because she's cringe and create expectations are out of reach doesn't change what the big picture is. And I hated this album.

1. Acknowledging presence of Ariana and Blackpink, while simply ignoring Drake and J Cole. When Drake is bigger than Ariana and J Cole has more streaming pull than BlackPink

2. Mentioning US, which is biggest market for Nicki while being one of the weakest market for Gaga

3. Simply ignoring the number of tracks, Chromatica having 14 countable tracks and Nicki having 22

 

 

if you want to fairly assess then 13/14 tracks of Gaga debut above 2M, while 2/22 tacks of Nicki debut above 2M.

You’re the one comparing girl, not me. Gaga is a pop artist. Nicki is a rapper. They’re different audiences and markets, but calling Nicki’s work flops when we both know Gaga has lots of flops is not it. (ARTFLOP is top 2 Gaga for me).

Nicki's peers are Drake, Kendrick Lamar, and J. Cole and yes, she NEVER gets compared to them because she is a woman and they outdo her in EVERY metric (it's not right but it is what it is) so to see her compared to Kesha and Lady Gaga
