Right. This album has been out for less than 24 hours. Of course Nicki still has a cute little group of dedicated Barbz, but, what happens after their pre-orders all count towards the first week on the Billboard Top 200 albums chart? What’re they going to say when everyone’s IG stories listening to a song from her album expires?

The simple answer is that Nicki cultivated a stable fanbase (that is only growing in number as the younger crowd discover her old gems and realise her talent far surpasses some other rap girls who are only good at making calculated single choices). Many of the other rap girls (other than Doja) have fanbases that were cultivated out of a hatred of Nicki - these fan bases will never thrive because they're never in it for the music.

Super freaky girl was a year ago, and that’s like one of the most viral songs of the last year.  Yall can’t be serious and say it wasn’t a hit. Everyone was saying F-R-E- AK until Barbie did it again and is like the most viral song on tiktok this past summer too. Lmfao
