What’s confusing about the post above me is that her technical performance skill has nothing to do with this - the tickets are sold and the shows have been shown! You can be mad that this tour has grossed so much, like be mad all you want, but it doesn’t make any sense that she’d be not reporting numbers because… you don’t think she deserves it because of her degree of dancing skill? But hey, anything to drag a woman you personally don’t like.

We have indeed seen the videos and what they show us is a performer with unmatched stage presence who can command a crowd through spectacle just as well as through the power of her voice and a guitar and piano only.  

That is why Taylor put her concert film in theaters for millions to witness, she wanted to reach an audience as wide as possible because she knew there was demand for the most acclaimed and beloved live show of the year.

 

Others tried to copy her, but I guess they need to step up the quality of their tours, because it seems like the global audience rejected them. Not everyone can have as much star-quality as Taylor Swift it seems.

This is somewhat genius of her. Speculation will keep bringing headlines and hyping her future tours.

 

There are already Forbes articles talking about 4 billion so the media will always bring those numbers even if they look absurd and there will not be a "peak" backlash from tankies/people with no life.

 

Still sucks, though. Hope it doesn't become yet another trend she starts.

Being unable to report the exact and official grosses to the public and irs is not something that people think genius.
