iam1925 Posted December 8, 2023 Posted December 8, 2023 It's a smart move tbh considering the backlash she might receive from the GP

That total could nearly double next year. Nope. I think she just wants to blur the lines between the official gross (already $1B) and some estimates by outlets like CNN, which somehow came to the conclusion that Eras could gross $4 BILLION... So she's leaving room for speculation. Again they literally say estimates. They ain’t official until she releases them. She should just release them

Popular Post Mitsouko Posted December 8, 2023 Popular Post Posted December 8, 2023 Why are swiftis pressed about this? Surely not because they're obsessed with numbers and records? 16 1
Chartman Posted December 8, 2023 Posted December 8, 2023 We know the ticket prices and when selecting tickets you can see the stadium layout and every single row and so on. So you can count section by section how many seats each have and how much an entire section sold for. I guess something like this Pollstar has done (they got all the layouts of the 60 shows) to come up with a year end number. Not like their calculation could be wrong by a full $100 Million. 2
QueenB Posted December 8, 2023 Posted December 8, 2023 Kinda smart, her team definitely thinks 10 steps ahead. The drama/jokes surrounding her private jet I'm sure made them think to not post the numbers. Plus good news for my fave who will have the highest grossing female tour of all time
Goaty Posted December 8, 2023 Posted December 8, 2023 Abstaining from reporting the official numbers isn’t going to save her from any “backlash” she may be afraid of. The estimates are already being circulated as if they’re official. real head-scratching decision from someone who consistently makes such great PR moves 2

With the 'reputation Stadium Tour' she had something to prove since the media called the tour a flop in the months leading up to it, so she was quick to report her numbers and show them that every single show was sold-out. This time, everyone already knows how massive of a success the tour has been (it literally led to her being POTY) and if the Pollstar estimates are any indication, the numbers are so incredibly high that she fears the backlash they would cause. Taylor likes to be popular, which is why she openly embraces stuff like charts or awards, but when it comes to wealth and money, she's very lowkey and doesn't ever brag about it or is flashy with it. yeah i bet that's her reasoning but i mean, the estimates are already there anyway...

PrettyHurts Posted December 8, 2023 Posted December 8, 2023 Smart. There would be backlash if people could see how much she was making
Mr_campbell Posted December 8, 2023 Posted December 8, 2023 I understand why, it will spark resentment in people. People in 2024 hate success.

People who were going to say something negative about this are going to regardless if she reports the official numbers or not.
BrokenMachine Posted December 8, 2023 Posted December 8, 2023 (edited) If she didn't wanted 'backlash' for getting a $1B grossing tour then she should have sold her tickets for $10 in the first place Edited December 9, 2023 by BrokenMachine 1
