ok let me stay on topic, nicki is not more popular than gaga in 2023 or ever. gaga can sell out stadiums, nicki can only dream about that. her last arena tour was panned and cancelled due to low ticket sales (as you can see on wikipedia). considering the size of venues you perform in is a direct metric of the demand and popularity one has, gaga is factually more popular and in demand than nicki minaj. so what now?

The question was about who is more popular these days, so why bring up some cancelled dates from a tour that happened 5 years ago?
In 2023 Nicki had two hit songs with Barbie World and Princess Diana plus a solo #1 hit last year, that some haven’t had in almost 13 years

Nicki is more popular on social media now because she’s more active and has a closer bond with her fans, but overall Gaga is miles ahead in fame. She’s literally selling out stadiums… Nicki’s still doing arenas this far into her career. 

That’s a really stupid thing to say about a female rapper, who historically have quick shelf lives. To still be able to do arenas 15 years deep is amazing

It is amazing, and I love her, but she’s not in the same league if we’re strictly speaking about touring demand. Even if we compared her current arena stats to Gaga/her peers it just wouldn’t match up.

If we have to compare both, Minaj definitely feelts more relevant and popular overall.
