Dr. Alexander Posted December 7, 2023 Posted December 7, 2023 (edited) This literally doesn’t make sense. It’s impossible for them to lose $12B. It’s not as if it’s coming out of their bank account. If you look at their revenue during this time period versus last year’s, sure, you might see a decrease or whatever. But the numbers are saying there was actually an increase in revenue sales. So… Edited December 7, 2023 by Dr. Alexander 3

ATRL Moderator feelslikeadream Posted December 7, 2023 ATRL Moderator Posted December 7, 2023 Well I stopped going cause of their labor policies, but would have stopped for this too. Either way, even if they turn a profit for the year, a huge decrease in market value is still something

If U Seek Amy Posted December 7, 2023 Posted December 7, 2023 If you actually read the financial data this is not due to boycotts. Clickbait titles getting people who don't understand finance. The stock price has been trending downwards overall the entire year long before these boycotts so far with a boost around their holiday cup special day and a decline again. Around the time the boycotts began the price was increasing overall minorly before falling after their holiday sales were reportedly shown to be not as impressive as expected. Still, overall sales increased as noted. The boycotts have done very little if anything to the company based on the data. It is more likely what is hurting them is their high prices, lack of innovation, and people cutting Starbucks for their other expenses in life during this period of higher costs/debt. Like sales still grew even then. The boycotts have not done a thing 2
Domination Posted December 7, 2023 Posted December 7, 2023 People watching stock prices and saying it’s because of boycotts are delusional lol. If the boycott has any impact on stock price it would be only realized after earnings unless a third party analytics company was able to reliably say that they were having an impact.
