I don't suspect he's wrong, historically it's pretty accurate.

But this just comes off as salty and pressed to me tbh. Elon bothered as always. :gaycat1:

even if Taylor gets canceled this very moment she achieved enough to cement her place as one of the most important music stars ever

While he doesn't really lie. Let's be real Elon. You got backlash for going far right conspiracy crazy and being a generally terrible human. Taylor is getting backlash from people right now at most over things like being too popular/attention seeking, releasing too much music, working too much on tour, and other things of the like. They are not the same...

has he turned X into a profit-generating everything app yet

After a certain point, the only way things can start trending is downwards—whether that's in popularity, influence, sales, etc. Him pointing that out, though, just seems bitterly ignorant—especially when no one asked him.

lol i dont think she will even read this tweet... poor elon, he's trying so hard to make X happen lol

Power eventually concentrates too much and breaks. This is why even figures like MJ and Madonna lost power/relevancy over time. It will happen to Taylor as well. It happens to everyone.

HOWEVER, it's not like her brand is going to nose dive the way Elon's brand did. She's not a red-pilled Nazi platformer. She's not a vile person with the ability to literally turn the internet on and off in the Ukraine-Russian war. She's not a mentally-ill psycopath who's unjustly accused people of vile things like pedophilia. She may lose relevancy, but not goodwill. There's a difference, and Elon has lost both.

Taylor has 3 AOTY's her backlash will never be as bad as Red Era slvt-shaming or the KimYe Phonecall :rip: she legit has no reason to currently slow down and I know all of ATRL hates that. Elon knows nothing but yeah drop reputation tv blondie.

I mean nobody can stay on top forever.

Taylor writes all of the songs that put her to the top. Elon gets accused of stealing intelectual property the whole time. One is not like the other :coffee2:

Isn't Elon about to be an elder? He might get a heart attack once the bell rings s:wan:

I don't think he meant this is a personal attack. The Hive and Swifties have been so overly sensitive lately.

Taylor is on top of the world and it is natural to predict that she will face some sort of ill-earned backlash in the coming year(s). Yes, it would be so exciting to see her continue to dominate in the way she does, but I really don't see a future in which she does not face some sort of over-saturation fatigue from the public.

But Taylor is actually smart, so not worried for her.

I only read the thread title and it's true. That won't take away all her achievements though

The misleading title nnnn. He said nothing about backlash.

No, I think she's more of a Trump figure for her fans, they will support her no matter what to the point of deluding themselves she's more impactful that Madonna and MJ, just like Trump's cult still claims he won the election.

They're so invested in her and so much of their identity revolves around her being #1, they will never accept anything less or their fragile self-image will crumble. You see it when the same people go through the entire board and religiously downvote every mildly critical post about her. Does that strike you as normal?

Does your post strike you as normal? You got some issues...

I don't think she will lose any of her popularity anytime soon. Her fanbase is very loyal. I've never seen anything like the "Taylormania" since MJ/Madonna. She is outpeaking herself all the time, and, of course, she will eventually reach her peak. Even if Midnight/The Eras Tour is her peak, she will be peaking on an insane level that even herself won't be capable to outpeak, and it says everything about her insane career.

She already had her backlash in 2017 and after that she became as popular as ever.
