She def deserves for Hustlers. That being said, why does she set herself up like this?

 

Take your own award do your basic speeches and move on. As an entertainer, you have nothing more to prove. Hell, I can even say as actress as well.

I didn't know the Elle thing was an actual award. Anyway, that's cute for J.Lo. The reason she didn't get in at the Oscars is because Hollywood is full of elitist haters, they'd rather nominate the dullest, whitest actors acting in dreary little misery-porn movies (that no one but them care about). That Andrea Riseburough thing blew the whole lid off of that clique-y little scene.

Artists and stans who live for the awards are deranged. There are so many legends that are snubbed by these ceremonies while so many random people get awarded, it honestly does not mean anything at all. It only boosts your ego.

 

Lopez is a worldwide icon, adored by most of the general public with successful careers in music and movies.

Hmm Diana Ross and Queen have  Grammy lifetime achievement awards . And all three have been inducted into the rock and roll hall of Fame . These are arguably bigger achievement.

No, I didn't say she was on the same level as them. I'm just pointing out that not having a Grammy is not something that automatically means you are less successful or have no respect within the industry as there are several artists who have sold even more records and have more acclaim than Jennifer who don't have one. Diana was only given the lifetime achievement award in 2012, many decades into her career, and Queen even later in 2018.

She deserved an Oscar for Selena and Hustlers but that’s about it. I love JLo but none of her music is Grammy worthy. But she is def snubbed in the acting accolades.
