Khris Posted December 5, 2023 Posted December 5, 2023 when she changes her mind and SPRING BREAKERS ends up on the album and it's actually the lead single coming out in February

I can't believe she re-signed with Atlantic after 'CRASH' was such a perfect kiss off to them and her time as a commercial pop star. I really didn't expect her to run back to them and double down on the generic pop star angle. 4 hours ago, bestfiction said: Is she still with Atlantic? I believe Crash was her final record with them, has she renewed the contract? 360 BRAT is a reference to the 360 deal she re-signed with

Charli is a workaholic yet it never seems to have a negative impact on her album quality control, Taylor Swift should take a few notes. charli has a lot of instability in her personal life. if she stops working then she has to think about all of that and reflect, and that causes more anxiety. so she prefers to work all the time instead of fixing the issues. she's constantly distracting herself. also i prefer Midnights as a cohesive, non pretentious era over anything Charli has done since Pop 2 1

Midnights is cohesively boring, stale and repetitive production that puts you to sleep a few songs in, a tracklist that makes no sense in the way it flows and some of the most mediocre lyricism of Taylors career like Karma which represents a massive downgrade from the greatness of Folklore/Evermore Edited December 5, 2023 by 4th Time Around 3

Charli is a Pop 2 rehash with generic singles and bad features, HIFN has some good songs but is not that well written or interesting, Crash may be her best official album but it's also generic and boring on the same level that Midnights is. I've enjoyed Anti Hero as a single much more than anything from any of those Charli albums. Midnights got a higher average on metacritic too despite being a snoozefest

Crash got a higher score on Pitchfork, does that automatically make one album better than another? I listen to an album and evaluate it myself rather than paying attention to Metacritic and reviews like Pitchfork and Fantano. Also, the fact you think Crash is Charli's best official album tells me all I need to know about your taste. Go check out Self Titled and or How I'm Feeling Now again and enlighten yourself please because you clearly do not belong in a Charli XCX thread. Nothing Charli has done since Pop 2 is a rehash of that mixtape, nor is any of it "generic" by pop standards with the possible exception of Crash. Criticizing Charli XCX for being generic while professing how much you love Taylor Swift is the height of hypocrisy Edited December 5, 2023 by 4th Time Around
