Frozen99 Posted December 4, 2023 Posted December 4, 2023 you're in danger girl, once an artist talks about these things, the flop era is incoming
PopKills Posted December 4, 2023 Posted December 4, 2023 I mean she’s right but I don’t see it for Houdini, not even the gays stan it as much as they did with Physical or Levitating. She should release the next single. 1
mojitos Posted December 4, 2023 Posted December 4, 2023 Why is it such a brag that her songs only become real hits after months of playlisting and radio? Literally all it takes for her career to be over is a lead single that underperforms and a follow up single that straight up flops(see: witness and artpop) cause then her label will stop wasting money on her, and since she's no billie or pre 2022 taylor, who can still have huge albums without smash hits she would be lucky to spend 30 weeks on bb200 lol
Jay07 Posted December 4, 2023 Posted December 4, 2023 Shes right but we have to see if it happens for Houdini.

dojabreaux Posted December 4, 2023 Posted December 4, 2023 Did she lie though? A lot of her singles are carried by longevity, so I wouldn’t be surprised if Houdini does become a longevity hit, and isn’t Houdini still strong on European iTunes Charts and Apple Music

MasterExpose Posted December 4, 2023 Posted December 4, 2023 Not releasing the extended version as single was a mistake, I like it more than the original
Solaria Posted December 4, 2023 Posted December 4, 2023 Oh I know Warner is CASHING those cheques as we speak, gag the ODH for me Duallah 2

She's their biggest female artist and they struggled to find a female pop behemoth for a very long time after Madonna left them for Interscope. There's no chance they'll stop investing in her Edited December 4, 2023 by Love Again 3 2
DeadInside Posted December 4, 2023 Posted December 4, 2023 Y'all laughing at her but wait till January when houdini smashes
Geraldine Posted December 4, 2023 Posted December 4, 2023 no her acting like she's some organic artist when she's always #1 on TTH 1
Alex Posted December 4, 2023 Posted December 4, 2023 this era starting off rockier than Scarlet is not what I had on my bingo card this year I'm sure she'll prove everyone wrong by the end of 2024 tho!
LOTF Posted December 4, 2023 Posted December 4, 2023 QUEEN! I'm holding out hope for her (think at least she'll get 1 smash from the era, who knows if it will be Houdini)
OrgVisual Posted December 4, 2023 Posted December 4, 2023 1 hour ago, Jaded. said: I have a feeling her label will wait like 2-3 weeks and watch if Houdini rebounds in January after Christmas-gate is over, and then if it’s looking over for Houdini, a new song will come late Jan-early Feb. I bet the album is coming in March. They seem to be following the exact same TL as FN. They will shove it in every New Year Party playlist as possible, exactly what they did for Levitating
Khal Posted December 4, 2023 Posted December 4, 2023 She's 100% right. But it's also funny coming from someone like her whose career has been crafted for mass appeal and instant hits 2
eleganceislearned Posted December 4, 2023 Posted December 4, 2023 I wouldn't say her songs are weird. "It was ahead of its time" teas. I will say that I'm surprised Houdini didn't coast to the US top ten on sheer momentum. It's a disco type song & not that huge of a departure from FN. The people really just straight up said no.
Trainwreck Posted December 4, 2023 Posted December 4, 2023 (edited) Houdini aged pretty badly for me, but I still hope she gets a cute Top 10 Hit from it Edited December 4, 2023 by Trainwreck
