So should I cancel Spotify and switch to Apple Music or are they just as bad?

the writing was on the wall, Spotify is a grossly over staffed company and they lose hundreds of millions ever year. if we want to arrive at a place where artists are paid fairly companies like spotify need to operate way more leanly so they actually have that extra money to pay.

I think all tech companies got rid of most of marketing positions

I Hope Nicki releases this week. Her numbers could save them .

I am so glad I didn't get the position I applied to, it would have been so difficult :chick2:

I think based on this week's numbers Nicki might have to to fire people as well due to budget cuts :giraffe:

i mean yeah, this is going to happen much more with high tech platforms. you don’t need as much employees. thats why spotify has one of the highest revenues per employee. they dont really need as many.

my guess is that theyre removing hr people and managers

they are useless if we're being honest (not my atrl girlies btw, or the good ones. im talking about the narcisstic & evil ones)  :rip::coffee:

Disgusting. But hey, at least it isn't a company profiting billions and still firing people left and right (I won't say names).

Spotify actually doesn't make money.

Huh? It's been happening to every tech company for many years, keep that political BS out of it and hold the CEO's accountable for once. :hoetenks:

If you think with the political foundation of America any CEO will ever be held accountable, you are in for a rude awakening

Apple is the most profitable company in the world. They aren't making money off services like Apple Music or TV, and they don't need to. Those services help lock you into the ecosystem so you'll continue to buy iPhones and other Apple products which is how they'll make money. Spotify has no other source of revenue.

Why would Spotify have over 5,000 employees? That's crazy.

I blame Taylor Swift and her 100m+ paycheck from Spotify (according to Billboard).
