A Million Lights Posted December 3, 2023 Posted December 3, 2023 Two smash hits and still charting in high placements, almost 3 years since its release. Is SOUR bigger than albums like After Hours, Un Verano Sin Ti, Future Nostalgia and Midnights? 2
Popular Post Alina M Posted December 3, 2023 Popular Post Posted December 3, 2023 No, not bigger than any of those mentioned albums. 11 6 3 1
Ivan_brit Posted December 3, 2023 Posted December 3, 2023 One of the biggest but I think The Weeknd After Hours, Dua Lipa Future Nostalgia are bigger Not sure if Taylor Midnights is bigger or on pair of Sour 3
vale9001 Posted December 3, 2023 Posted December 3, 2023 (edited) Feels only bigger than midnights that was big but all Taylor discography is smashing so hard at the same time the album doesn't feel like bigger thing of the year. In the US was bigger than Bad bunny btw. Edited December 3, 2023 by vale9001
Klein Posted December 3, 2023 Posted December 3, 2023 Not bigger than UVST, still a bit behind AH and FN, ahead of Midnights for now. It's not ahead of any if you include touring though. So to answer the question: no, it isn't the biggest era from the 2020s. However, it still is absolutely massive and will surely end up one of the defining eras of the decade. 5
sourprint Posted December 3, 2023 Posted December 3, 2023 its such a small era that when compared to frontloaded ones like future nostalgia it feels bigger with less effort
Kasix Posted December 3, 2023 Posted December 3, 2023 Did sour have hits like last night or blinding lights? did it open near a million units, did it it take 7 or 9 or 10 out of 10? Will it chart over a year and a half in the top ten? 1 2

poki Posted December 3, 2023 Posted December 3, 2023 Definitely, especially considering this was Olivia's debut
byzantium Posted December 3, 2023 Posted December 3, 2023 (edited) It’s about even with Future Nostalgia and After Hours but is not bigger than Bad Bunny’s record. Midnights is still TBD, but could potentially become bigger than all of them. Edited December 3, 2023 by byzantium
By the Water Posted December 3, 2023 Posted December 3, 2023 It's definitely not bigger than Midnights and AH but it does belong with all the albums mentioned in the OP
GreenEnvy Posted December 3, 2023 Posted December 3, 2023 (edited) It's bigger than Future Nostalgia and will surpass its total units soon. It's about on par with After Hours but smaller than UVST. Too early to say for sure but Midnights will likely end up bigger too. Edited December 3, 2023 by GreenEnvy
Maroonx Posted December 3, 2023 Posted December 3, 2023 LOL if you did ya research you wouldn't be asking this... do your diligence babes x
littlebodybigheart Posted December 3, 2023 Posted December 3, 2023 maybe bigger than future nostalgia, but midnights? after hours? you’ve lost it
Enrique523 Posted December 3, 2023 Posted December 3, 2023 It probably is yeah, at least by a female artist.
Gorjesspazze9 Posted December 3, 2023 Posted December 3, 2023 It’s one of the biggest for sure. But Midnights and Taylor’s Era Smashing eclipses everyone in the past year by a lot.
