At this point, I'm unsure if you're more obsessed with Beyoncé or me. :rip: Why are you tagging me into a conversation I'm not part of? You that desperate to talk to me? :deadbanana2:

You sure can dish it out but not take it. You quoted me in here first. Anyway, this is from Variety:

“Renaissance: A Film by Beyoncé,” tumbled in its second weekend, earning $5 million for a fifth place finish. That’s a precipitous 77% drop, signaling that the music icon’s concert film may not have the staying power of “Taylor Swift: The Eras Tour,” which has grossed nearly $180 million. “Renaissance” has earned roughly $28 million domestically.

Here I was trying to make you feel better. :frown: Must've missed when I tried to tag you into another conversation though. Maybe that happened in the same place you fabricated your first narrative and got clocked for.

Are we talking about Beyoncé? If so I agree, compared to Taylor, Beyoncé has no star quality. After all, $30M is closer to zero than $250M is.

You can play dumb for a quick kii with the other losers in here but you know exactly what I meant.

The star-quality is so big that it is competing with Eddie Murphy (and somehow failing against)

I'm afraid I don't. :lakitu:

Because when I look at one artist and she's doing $250M at the box office with her concert film whereas the other isn't even doing a fifth of that amount, it becomes very evident to me who has more star-quality.

Ah so Beyonce is a flop now? Are we back to the drawing board, OBHs?

I thought u learned from the past, yet you always come for her like clockwork whenever u feel like she's not delivering to whatever standard u measure her to. Lol

Just know that: not everybody gets to release their concert movies in theatres, so unless ur fav got the chance to do so, u better stay quiet

Regardless of the moderate reception, the film is amazing and any pop music fan would enjoy it

So basically 27m first week and 5m second week globally? I mean I’m surprised, how can this become a massive bomb? Nobody expects her to do Taylor’s number but this is simply a waste of money:rip: My initial prediction is $100m globally, down to $60m after the debut number come out, and now it’s probably couldn’t even reach $40m

Beyoncé is extremely local and all her documentaries are more of the same same.

Beyoncé's music is bad so it makes sense people want to see her live but don't want to stream her music or watch her film.

I wouldn't say it's bad but yeah I went to the Renny tour because of how good of a performer she is. I don't like the Renny album tbh. But that's not really a bad thing? Just shows she's really talented.

She wears great outfits and has great screens on her shows.

This just goes to show how Taylor's current star-power is on the level of Michael Jackson (whose 2009 documentary/concert film did similar numbers). :clap3:

Some will still claim "she doesn't have any" of course, even tho the numbers say otherwise. :lakitu:

Ohhh gurlll... you are being far too generous to her bby.

Some of her outfits are questionable... while some of her outfits are wearing her.

But glad she has lots of screens and dancers to do all the work/smoke & mirrors.

N-E-Ways, I for one, am NOT, surprised this is doing not well at the box office.

I've always seen past her hype, and the numbers here don't lie. mmmhmmm

so her music is suddenly so bad the only thing people would do is the most financially irresponsible thing and spend thousands to see her perform live but somehow forget to stream her music and watch her film that only shows 4 days a week, such an astute and smart assumption user Alexz!

Actually yes, you are right, the social media era has made people try to rally and go to the most concerts they can afford to post on instagram they went. All tours are huge right now because fans are in a competition. So as I said it makes sense people went to her show but don't want to see her movie because it gives them no status.

:bibliahh::bibliahh::bibliahh::bibliahh::bibliahh: I'd love to see miss spears do the same, since it's so easy.

OT:

Renaissance was already very niche and appealed to a much smaller demographic, unlike the other one. This has been stated by deadline and every box office expert yet for some reason, it was still expected to match or come close to concert films targeting teen girls. :rip:
