And yet you are ok with the constant anti-Taylor threads being made for no reason all the time? The hypocrisy :toofunny3:

You are ok with the way Taylor was blamed for what happened in Brazil and how OTHs literally gloated about Ana's death just so they can have a go at Taylor? Again, i can't stand this endless hypocrisy :toofunny3:

I have defended Taylor in that thread, the blame is on the promoter and they should be sued.

People who fight over two artists who respect each other and get on well should get their IQs tested because it’s so dumb. Why brag about something you didn’t achieve? :rip:

I read that it's not showing in Indonesia, Vietnam and Malaysia and will be late release in Japan? This might be the reason of it.

Beyonce and her messy release.

What were people expecting?
Taylor’s music is way more mainstream

I mean, it’s not terrible, but it is her own fault for not maximizing her potential, commercially speaking. Her name alone is enough to do solid numbers, but Renaissance having a tangible ERA with videos, more hits/singles and so on would have helped here. Taylor’s era’s tour was all about just that. Eras that people are fond of, as with any other tour that follows up a tangible, well promoted era. Renaissance, despite it being a solid success, really didn’t make that much noise outside of the queer/stan community (and continues to do just ok streaming wise). Like ppl would have still blew coin to see her tour The Gift lol, people just want to see Beyoncé, but Renaissance really could have been something much bigger, including the film.

More promo could've been a double edged sword because Renna is a bad album.

As for the children part, I'm just going by what people said they saw in screenings :michael: I guess older fans move on to more mature stuff and she hooks in new children with lyrics like "I have this thing where I get older but just never wiser"

That's a perfectly fine lyric. She has much worse (as does Beyoncé). Anyways i think shaming people for liking things doesn't really make you appear more mature, quite the opposite.

OT: I don't think Beyoncé has aimed for mass appeal with her music or career decisions lately, her film is showing in limited screens which makes sense so her numbers are not bad. Taylor has more broad appeal and is going all out to maximize that. Different situations.

Exactly. Black women have been objectified and oversexualized for so long and Beyonce is reclaiming that for herself. And her effortless flow over that thumping beat? That takes real flavor. That's difficult to have, not everyone has that.

Some people just sing about Karma being a cat.

And how commercially successful has Madonna been (on par with Taylor) between 2008 and now? Quick.

You can froth at the mouth all you want but Taylor will never have a "Ray of Light"

Yes like a decade ago. Aren’t we talking about the present times?

Honey, even after a decade no one is touching her achievements. Have multiple seats

And some can't even string together the words "Karma is a cat" by themselves.

It's not just when they debuted. Beyonce's music a artistic output is a lot more layered and refined and demands more of its audience. Taylor's audience are literal children. There is no comparison.

Turns out that The Eras Tour overperformed among millennials too, like every other age demographics.

This has been proven wrong, you are late

Why would she want that? folklore and evermore are literally both better, so… :deadbanana2:

OT: This isn’t really surprising. She doesn’t have the pull to dominate the box office :emofish:

I love Folklore and Evermore, definitely Taylor’s quality peak. But let’s be real here, Ray of Light is creatively, sonically, lirically better in every way. Like “Swim” and “Sky Fits Heaven” >>>>> whole careers
