As a young artist, you have that drive and hunger but now that she’s done lots of genres and set trends and did whatever she wanted to do…. What else is left for Ms Fenty to say?? i don’t see her as the type to release songs about maternity and a newfound love for life or whatever singers who have kids say. She’s in a good place with ASAP (right?) so no chances of her Lemonade. Collabs left and right a la Shakira doesn’t seem something she would do either. Soundtrack lady maybe? What can Rihanna talk about if she ever releases music again? 2 1 1

But she'll have made more money in the last 9 years through her other ventures in fashion and beauty than she would if she had continued releasing music. Plus she would have had to have grafted harder for less since the money in music these days is in touring. They're strict. As someone studying and working in film—no, they’re no longer this strict when it comes to original song. They have gone in a much more populist direction with categories like this and are nowhere near as narrow on crediting songwriting as they once were. 2
Maxxie Posted November 30, 2023 Posted November 30, 2023 I am pissed that she has not released music but the reasons are very clear. Rih has always wanted a family, she wanted to focus on her businesses and she feels immense pressure to top ANTI. Also, her ANTI rollout was traumatic for her as it got leaked and the 460 comments. People slated the album until later on.
