EtherealCat Posted November 28, 2023 Posted November 28, 2023 she gets the sort of payola we want our faves to get
spree Posted November 28, 2023 Posted November 28, 2023 because she makes way better music than Taylor.
shoganai Posted November 28, 2023 Posted November 28, 2023 Cause of misogyny and because they love to put women artists against each other. x
Credit Posted November 28, 2023 Posted November 28, 2023 it's the opposite though. she actually flops and people here (other than just the OPs of the threads) try to pretend it's not happening. whereas with successful artists they don't like, people will routinely falsely pretend they aren't doing well 2
By the Water Posted November 28, 2023 Posted November 28, 2023 Because ATRL is full of people that stan has beens and they want others to join them
Alex Posted November 28, 2023 Posted November 28, 2023 They did the same with Doja and then she proved everyone wrong with PTTR. just wait and see because I'm sure the same will happen to Dua
Zaynsus Posted November 28, 2023 Posted November 28, 2023 ATRLers want every successful female artist to flop and when it happens, they complain that there's no successful MPG and male artists are bigger than the girls. Serving bipolar teas. 3
Shelter Posted November 28, 2023 Posted November 28, 2023 Gays love to take a female down. Wasn’t a fan of Dua but I love Houdini, gives me ABBA vibes.
sunbathinganimal Posted November 28, 2023 Posted November 28, 2023 you could literally make this thread about any MPG
Digitalism Posted November 28, 2023 Posted November 28, 2023 Their favs don't have mega hits like her. The same thing used to happen to Rih. They used to call her a singles artist. Now her discography is more rembered.

Rotunda Posted November 28, 2023 Posted November 28, 2023 Personally, I like Dua and want her to succeed, but I do find it a bit obnoxious that fans can’t recognize a weak single when they see one, and have to twist themselves into pretzels to act like something is really an artist’s best work. I think Dua is one of those artists who still is only as big as their latest single, so her choices are extremely important. Pushing a song without a notable chorus when all that’s going viral on TikTok rn are choruses was a choice.
Le Grande Posted November 28, 2023 Posted November 28, 2023 From the first moment that I listened to FN, I knew that the gheys would forever torment her with every new project not being "like FN" (success/sound-wise). That said, I'm not a big fan of her new song although I really wanted to like it, so the underperformance is justified for me at least, but I do want my Balkan gal to succeed ofc.
ithinkheknowsoutsold Posted November 28, 2023 Posted November 28, 2023 because they jealous and bitter
Bosque Posted November 28, 2023 Posted November 28, 2023 (edited) No one really cares about artists on ATRL. It's all about stanbase fights. Little Peepsters got relatively cocky due to her success from FN, so people feel like they have to "knock Dua down a peg" Edited November 28, 2023 by Dephira 1

rihannafan Posted November 29, 2023 Posted November 29, 2023 It's just one fanbase and they don't want anyone else to succeed 3

She does her own thing, stay on her line and mind her own business... Overall is a unproblematic pop girl. And about her fans, they're nice and from what I see, they never get into a stan war with another base. "Houdini' is might not success but it far from flop, timing released is effected the song but it still a bop and constantly on my playlist. What has she ever done to you gay artlers and why you want to see her fails. Explained yourself. I'm a Dua stan and i can tell you this is absolutely not true But yeah, people on ATRL are doing SO MUCH about Dua and i just don't understand why, as you said she's talented and makes amazing bops, there's literally nothing to hate.

Suilen Posted November 30, 2023 Posted November 30, 2023 No idea, Houdini is a great song. Maybe they hate fun.

unclefloprry Posted November 30, 2023 Posted November 30, 2023 bc she's THEE pop girl, she has global success, critical acclaim, beauty, and amazing pop music. Something their faves never achieved
