The thing with Dua is that she never has a big debut, so there's always a chance.

Personally, I like Dua and want her to succeed, but I do find it a bit obnoxious that fans can’t recognize a weak single when they see one, and have to twist themselves into pretzels to act like something is really an artist’s best work. 
 

I think Dua is one of those artists who still is only as big as their latest single, so her choices are extremely important. Pushing a song without a notable chorus when all that’s going viral on TikTok rn are choruses was a choice.

From the first moment that I listened to FN, I knew that the gheys would forever torment her with every new project not being "like FN" (success/sound-wise). That said, I'm not a big fan of her new song although I really wanted to like it, so the underperformance is justified for me at least, but I do want my Balkan gal to succeed ofc.

No one really cares about artists on ATRL. It's all about stanbase fights. Little Peepsters got relatively cocky due to her success from FN, so people feel like they have to "knock Dua down a peg"

it was out of apple music entirely and left the top 100 on spotify us. i saw one thread about it, and everyone posting in it was rooting for her and saying stuff like "just wait 3 months". then the moderators quickly merged the thread and made a joke out of it while also supporting her.

1) US is the biggest market but not the only market… and it’s doing fine outside the US. 

2) if this is a flop so just a few girls can call their singles a hit
