Why atrlers want Dua flops so bad?

Recommended Posts

She pretty, can sing, can dance, she made good bops. She does her own thing, stay on her line and mind her own business... Overall is a  unproblematic pop girl. And about her fans, they're nice and from what I see, they never get into a stan war with another base. "Houdini' is might not success but it far from flop, timing released is effected the song but it still a bop and constantly on my playlist.

What has she ever done to you gay artlers and why you want to see her fails. Explained yourself. :khalyan2:

There's a megathread for discussing Houdini's flop status.

This thread is not about the song.

honestly, probably cause they’re mad that their fav doesn’t get the same push that dua gets:michael:

It’s nothing new. Dua isn’t alone in this, everytime an MPG returns from a hiatus for a main album there is an hyperfixation on them and everything they do gets labelled an underperformance or flop. I’m pretty sure once DL3 era is over in 2035 they’ll say Houdini is actually a good song :gaycat6:

It IS a flop, stop making excuses and accept it. It got a music video and a lot of playlisting, how does timing affect it? Isn't Tate on top of the charts now?

It happens with every single female artist

This is the typical ATRL behavior. When a popgirl is very successful, they want this popgirl to flop to scream "MY FAVE'S BETTER AND BIGGER AND MORE POPULAR 1!!1!!1!1!11!"

She raised the standard to high after FN (DSN physical levitating, love again even cold heart). So I guess who aren't her fans are expecting huge hits, we just have to wait for the album and more songs.

I dare you to find a female pop star ATRL doesn’t want to see flop.  Maybe ATRL is the problem.

Some of them are being paid to claim that Tasty McDonald's can replace Dua. Her label must think that there is no place for a new industry plant without chopping the other.

I'm gonna be honest, before I heard Houdini I wanted her to flop too. I loved Future Nostalgia but there's really nothing special about Dua. She's got a nice tone I'll give her that.

People gag over how much her dancing has improved but that's mainly because it was so awful to begin with. She's still very stiff and her dancing doesn't look natural or effortless.

She gets all the best writers, producers and budget when there are people who are a lot more deserving of that investment. Warner essentially needed a successful vessel for their writers camp bops and that's what Dua Lipa is. Now there's nothing necessarily wrong with that, but unfortunately the music industry only allows a few women to succeed at any given moment. And if I had my pick of who those people would be, Dua Lipa would not be one of them.

Houdini is good though and doesn't deserve to be underperforming the way it is.

I didn't recognized anyone who was wanting to Dua Lipa to flop. Houdini isn't going well at the charts currently and some atrl members are just here to tell it. Don't get me wrong, I'm Dua Lipa's fan for sure. Some people just don't like her and I guess that's okay.

The fumes and jealousy i have seen are mostly from a certain fanbase since Dua is a significantly bigger global hitmaker than their fave, even though they both resort to gimmicks.

You can't always smash, no matter how good and dedicated you are. Everyone has valleys in their career, but the ones who keep doing their thing have more peaks later on. Dua is far too intelligent, interesting and well-liked to stay flopping.

And I wouldn't even call Houdini a flop, I  think the main reason why it didn't smash is because the visuals have been very uninteresting so far. Also the release was too close to the Barbie soundtrack in my opinion, everyone is still on Dance The Night Away :sistrens:

As for ATRL's obsession with Dua "flopping"? The only ones carrying that narrative are a certain Hive and its neighbouring Nation. Other bases know talent when they see it, and don't need numbers to justify their standom :coffee:
