I'm fine with the terrible S2 storylines that at least try to have stakes, Civil War Ben and Super Nadine can choke :suburban:

I like to think these two are somehow related to the supernatural forces thah have a hold on the town... but then again, I LIKE to think that. It's probably delusion :gaycat2:

Had to google him 'cause I didn't remember him nor Dick. Diabolical, character and storyline. I'll put them under 'supernatural'.

These silly storylines remind me a lot of stuff that also seemed left field on the Return. Remember Red? They serve for world-building purposes imo.

Watching the original now. I had only seen the first episode in a film/tv class back in college. Outside of a couple of weird aspects I like it.

the actor who plays Laura’s father is terrible though

Okay, I'm on Part 10 of The Return (I had to take a break for a quick trip to LA) but I'll be back at it either tonight or tomorrow evening :jamming:

These were so grating.

the James storyline is camp but still a total slog, worthless in its payoff. Also can sum up James as a character too.

I still haven’t watched The Return. What’s the consensus on it?

Best show ever.

I need to re-visit the later season released a few years ago. It was super weird, but brilliant.

I forgot how awful michael ontkean is in the episode after [redacted] dies :dies:

The show got annoying so I stopped. Quite a few strange choices

just about finished my S1/2 rewatch (only finale left to go) and tbh the middle of S2 wasn't as bad as I remember. There was usually just enough important **** happening in each episode to keep me engaged. It really does ramp up towards the end too, I'd say the two/three eps before the finale are all pretty good

also I'm sorry y'all but Andy just sucks, hate the performance, hate his storylines, he's not funny at all

also they really tried to sell us on Audrey being in love with JJW after like 2 episodes :rip: at least Cooper and Annie have actual chemistry

speaking of Annie, queen deserved better :coffee2: I get that Lynch probably resented the character but he really should have found a place for her in The Return

i'm torn on whether to rewatch the movie. I love so much about it but honestly it's probably the scariest film I've ever seen and idk if I wanna put myself through that right now :gaycat6:

Even after rewatching FWWM several times, it still remains so unnerving. During my rewatch I made the mistake of putting it on around 11PM or midnight alone in the house :dies: do not recommend lol

I know FWWM is scary to a lot of people; I think I've even seen it on top of scariest films ever. But to me idk, it just feels... sad? The end credits with that shot of Laura always leave me tearing up. She's such a special character to me.

******* hell I forgot how good the S2 finale is, honestly might be my favourite episode of TV ever

even if you didn't already know Lynch was back you would immediately be able to tell, I forgot how much it legit feels like a movie. the scenes in the Black Lodge are so ******* good
