Gesamtkunstwerk Posted November 24, 2023 Posted November 24, 2023 Yes, people need to stop being online 24/7. I’ve seen friends just spiraling due to being on instagram and tiktok all day, they all get the same nitpicky, overly self conscious attitude, it’s a shame. 1

We know that there is lots of hatred online. But it seems like in general nowadays people like to cringe and drag people who just have fun or try something new and may fail. it is like the modern attitude is to sit back, do nothing yourself, but cringe at others and discourage them from trying new things. If it is not perfect, it is invalid And self-deprecating humor is fun, but have you tried treating yourself like your best friend (in a good way)? Are people taking themselves too seriously nowadays? Do we live in a culture of perfectionism that leads to negativity? Discuss I mean, we have a user on here who claims she "is not going to read" whoever she's replying to, which doesn't make sense because if you're not going to read something someone posts, why reply? Then she acts like she's the gatekeeper for all things related to POC/black people. Like... did the entire black population nominate you as their speaker? I don't think so. And then acts like generalizing white people is some sort of achievement. I genuinely was thinking of trying to make amends with this person, but once I saw they pulled their same antics with other people on here, I was like, yeah, no. They're not worth an apology. I genuinely miss when this site was about pop music and ranking your favorite tracks or getting insights into an album cycle the GP doesn't have. Instead, it's turned into a virtue-signaling, navel-gazing nightmare. 1
dumbsparce Posted November 29, 2023 Posted November 29, 2023 (edited) Everyone on social media thinks their opinion matters and their morals are not to be questioned. No ***** you're just as unimportant as everybody else. Edited November 29, 2023 by dumbsparce
Polgg48 Posted November 29, 2023 Posted November 29, 2023 believe that censorship and propaganda really make people frustrated on any issue and worst of them all is criticism rejection which not improve quality of lives as we've seen
RunUpDoneUp Posted November 30, 2023 Posted November 30, 2023 Considering we're in a resurgence of rightwing reactionism, people are doing exactly as you'd expect them to be doing. Embarrassing economic levels(the poorest generation!), children struggling with basic arithmetic and linguistics, climate escalation reaching new peaks and genocide. So idk.
UnusualBoy Posted November 30, 2023 Posted November 30, 2023 Yeah. I for one notice that I've gotten more negative nowadays, I'm trying to change that tho.
