The casual racism in this thread is concerning. Frustrated fans are frustrated fans, no matter where in the world you are (sure some are more childish than others, but again you see those types everywhere). But no, she should cancel a whole tour leg for collective punishment... What is going on in some of your heads?

Well Gaga cancelled her show because of her own health issues and Drake had NO reason to cancel at all, he just did and also went to a party on the same day in the US. Seems like YOU have a problem with the country huh? Literally every artist loves to tour on Brazil. Gaga has Rio tattooed on her neck

Y'all just just throwing racism left and right tbh. They are just stating the things that they observed in that country. I myself grew up in an Asian third world country then moved to Canada yet I know that the observations that other countries in my birth country is true. It is incredibly disgusting and gross how people are stanwar-ing this. Someone ******* died ffs. I remember it happening with Ariana's concert bombing back in 2017, albeit that was so much worse, but you would expect some grown-ass adults to behave in times like.

 

This was a "lose-lose situation" imo. But postponing/canceling and having some fans being mad at you (understandably, though. yall shouldn't be undermining their feelings/disappointment) >>>>>> performing in those temperatures/conditions and risking her life and the lives of her crew and thousands of people in the stadium. She would be rightfully blamed if someone else died or an even worse accident happened.

 

Yes, perhaps the announcement could have come a bit earlier but they still made the right choice. Sad for the fans there.

Because there weren’t many shows for like two whole years which could use the credits (hence it was valid for the Eras Tour in 2023).

 

Imagine having no chance to use your money for that time and now framing that as positive.

They hired hundreds of more people to make sure everyone was safe today, were giving free water and firebombers were throwing water to hydrate people so the chances of the same happening were extremely low.

 

3 more hours of suffering for these people wouldnt not make much difference, at least they’d get to see their idol. Now lots of them have to go back to their states (Brazil is huge) and may not have the opportunity to see her again. It’s all a big mess and I usually think people hate on her too much sometimes but there’s no way to defend this this time around.

Like you mention, they did try to hires more people, give out water.... to counter the heat.

But theres still people passing out and need emergency room so its still not safe to continue.

Its a hard call, you have to make decision in real time.

Well useless is a strong word, but it’s not like anyone (including Taylor) knew what was going to happen back in 2020.  The promoter really treated Brazilians poorly here.
