Truth is, she never shouldve done the concert yesterday, you had the weather report, we are literally going through abnormal temperatures even for Rio a city known for being hot. She also never shouldve keep todays date. All the weather reports were showing today was going to be the hottest day in the history of Rio.

U guys maybe dont understand but fans here go wait for the entrance to open hours and hours in advance so they get a good place. So they were under the sun all this time.

She is right in cancelling today, but her crew shouldve seen the weather reporter, the experience on soundcheck and just not do this two shows. She is filfhty rich she can spare.

Tomorrow the weather is set to be a lot better, even with some rain, Monday also. It will be best for all.

Problem is also people who traveled from other states, we have a continental country, so it is not so easy to make new plans. Monday is a holiday in Rio and every room will be booked. People from other estates are not on holiday and need to go back to work. So i understand them being mad.

These people were all already INSIDE the stadium after hours or even days of waiting, she knew already the day before that the temperatures would be like that, at least she should have postponed it in the morning.

They hired hundreds of more people to make sure everyone was safe today, were giving free water and firebombers were throwing water to hydrate people so the chances of the same happening were extremely low.

3 more hours of suffering for these people wouldnt not make much difference, at least they’d get to see their idol. Now lots of them have to go back to their states (Brazil is huge) and may not have the opportunity to see her again. It’s all a big mess and I usually think people hate on her too much sometimes but there’s no way to defend this this time around.

Someone died.  It’s unreasonable to expect her to endanger more people.

The negotiations took so long. Mayor announced the postponement, he was directly involved in it.

There’s nothing to negotiate when someone has died.. putting thousands more in danger is negligent.

I am sure Taylor could’ve easily just pull the plug last night and take the breach of contract lawsuit with grace. Human lives should NOT be a matter of contractual obligations.

So all brazillian fans who can't travel to other countries should be prevented from seing her live because some venue didn't take the proper measures against a heat wave? Y'all are sick to the head or just dumb.

If people are going to die…yes.

You're either incredibly naive or purposefully obtuse.

A whole country can't be blamed over one death.

Taylor herself hasn’t announced Monday date yet. It’s all so confusing atp.

There's "no way" to defend her postponing a show that could have very well resulted in another death?

Do you think Taylor just snips her fingers and the date is magically transferred to a different date, and no one from Brazil, including the people involved in organizing the stadium have any say in it?

No offense but are you kind of slow?

Y’all do know that these heat waves will become more and more common right? That’s global warming and we are facing direct consequences this week from El Niño. The same can happen in an european leg next year around summertime or in any other country. It’s not a skip Brazil issue

There are plenty of valid reasons why a touring artist will skip certain locations.  Having to work with promoters that will endanger her fans is a perfectly valid reason.

Im not sure how to get it in your head that someone dying is a tragedy and terrible.

Hopefully the promoters in Europe will allow her to be more flexible then and European fans, more understanding when postponements happen.

Same as the stadium staffs should also have done their job and help distributing water bottles to help the concertgoers, but they didn't. The videos from that concert was a mess and a half. Taylor looking frantic and trying to guide her team to give people bottle waters while performing herself. While the security just stood around not helping.
Not everyone has the omniscient hindsight of 20/20 (like you) to be a judge.

They waited more than a decade to see Taylor again or for the first time. Your ignorance of other people’s conditions and countries is showing….

Also people have died and passed out in concerts in the EU and the US. It’s not a new concept. Let’s skip them then or is it just a thing for Southern hemisphere countries?

Sudden record-breaking heatwave is causing this. People don’t stop doing their job in Summer season.

Are they supposed to cancel every Latin American concert taking place in summer? :rip: There were literally 2 other concerts at the same stadium in November, which was summer. Did you feign outrage over those dates as well?

You can’t blame fans for being upset. Some probably travelled or waited all day in that heat.

This is nonsense.

Someone dying is bad.

Postponing or even canceling a show because it endangers people’s lives, is preferable.

If you are working with a promoter and venue that will not allow you to look out for the well-being of the concert goers, then you should not work with them again.

Y’all are acting like someone dying is perfectly ok collateral damage if it means some more people get to go to a concert.

An artist touring…in the summer?  I bet Taylor is the first person to ever think of this.  Everyone else was probably doing tours in the winter.

I never said any of that. She’s right to postpone. I’m shocked that you think there’s only ONE PROMOTER in Brazil and she should therefore SKIP a whole country in future tours because this one failed her and someone died. That was your original comment.
