It could be Europe, Asia, or some American city. It would clearly not be easy for an artist to relieve those memories. Let's see in the future If Brazil has this high criminality, it's because the past governments of Lula-Dilma and Bolsonaro were a mess, and they did nothing to solve this in all these years. But some people here are supportive of them? So, do you have the right to throw stones at other countries? I've seen so many ATLRErs supporting those politicians who are bringing doom to Brazil. Countries reflect the wrongdoings of their politicians. I'm currently in Colombia, and we are suffering because our last two presidents are a mess. Now, criminality is higher than ever, and kidnappings are now as common as in the '90s. Do you want criminality to stop in Latinoamerica-Southamerica? Have nuance and support the right politicians from an outside view. That's how you help. Root for Brazilians to elect better people. Right or left, who cares? They need politicians who are good and will tackle this problem of criminality to the roots Yes, SOME Brazilian fans are acting poorly (some of them. That's not great – not cool), but they're just in their feelings. Here in the developing world, it's more uncommon to have concerts of this type. For us, it's a rarity – this type of thing. Don't want to sound mean to all my sugarcubes, but you all in the States or West Europe have the best events, the best concerts, huge titanic productions, the best cosplay events, tech events, festivals, sport ones...ETC all the time. Wealth speaks. The developing world doesn't have those, so they take it more personally, and it's more valuable to them. For us, it's like golden chances do you get why people are that triggered on there? This was probably the only time Taylor was coming to their country after decades. Salaries in Latin America are really bad too, and people from all over Latin America saved so much money for this trip and the hotels. Yes not only brazilians were in attendance. Understand why they feel so disappointed. This is a once-in-a-lifetime experience for so many, and they clearly feel upset. So, don't mock Brazilians or Latinos darlings. That's not good. Be nicer. We all need to support each other in this tragic times as Popstans. Of course Taylor is also a victim here. This situation is surreal. Now the question is???? 1.it would be great for the two victims to get help and economical-mental health support. What is Taylor and the fandom and the goverment doin for those families? heartbreakin 2. I'm also so concerned about Taylor and her mental health in this moment. What a horrible situation. She must be blaming herself still. About her physical health too after that heat-shock. I wonder if this could bring a change of attitude about all this frenzy about her and the direction of her career. I wonder if she will slowdown with the circus. 3. This is also a wake-up call for everyone worldwide about the safety in concerts. Don't take it for granted. So many things could go wrong. 4. It should also set a precedent of how important is water. Should be mandatory in concerts without paying. The corporations are so greedy I seen how even in the States they dont give water to people. Thats criminal. 5. We need monitoring about the weather too and weather extremes. Heatwaves and Thunderstorms are gettin more common with global warming. This will be a reality in the future and will be absolutely worse. Its important for all Artists now to check the conditions of the concerts they will have. Are they safe for the Audience? how theyre measuring the temperature in closed locations? looks like summer concerts are a NO! The Eras Tour in the US were literally in the summer though, but I agree everything you said.
BtDecember Posted November 19, 2023 Posted November 19, 2023 I want Taylor to TRIPLE her security because I don’t know what can these people do to her. I’m sorry but I am nervous about her security there 7

Maroonx Posted November 19, 2023 Posted November 19, 2023 (edited) Well, if you are that upset, then ask for a refund... IDK what to say Also, I'm sure other fans will be more than happy to snatch the tickets from those people who asked for a refund. Life goes on x Edited November 19, 2023 by Maroonx
Movimento Perpétuo Posted November 19, 2023 Posted November 19, 2023 Her stay here in Rio has been a disaster. Hopefully her shows in São Paulo will be better.
Watson! Posted November 19, 2023 Posted November 19, 2023 are they mad because she cancelled it or bc she didn't cancel it earlier?

Maroonx Posted November 19, 2023 Posted November 19, 2023 Honestly I am cringing so hard reading this topic and seeing all the drama. OVER A ******* CANCELLED SHOW. It's not a competition about what country does it better. Those people attacking Brazil/Brazilian people, you guys seriously need to educate yourselves, and to the Brazilians dramatizing and self victimizing, plz take a goddamn chill pill. People think that cancelling a show is something simple. So much goes into it, not to mention the amount of money lost. I get the anger and frustration from the fans (especially those who travelled far to watch it) and I do sympathize with you. But being petty won't solve anything. Those who can't attend the re-scheduled show, just ask for a refund... If you're gonna start hating Taylor, then that's your right, go ahead and do so... For every problem, there's a solution. 4 1

Strawberry Bubble Posted November 19, 2023 Posted November 19, 2023 Once again, Taylor is being judged simply for doing the right thing. There's nothing new here.
Tusk Posted November 19, 2023 Posted November 19, 2023 15 minutes ago, Watson! said: are they mad because she cancelled it or bc she didn't cancel it earlier? They are mad because they chose to stand outside since 5am. No one forced them to do that

I saw some fans worried about the australian dates. Are those ones in Summer? I dont know if were too dramatic and this situation got this bad for the "heatwaves" exclusively or concerts in summer heat are real dangerous and we should be more careful with them. Hope my message was not too harsh it was a draft and thought about not sending anything cause im weird but i wanted to give my take of thIS infortunate situation as a Southamerican with friends who attended the concert and some of them almost fainted so many of them are still stuck there waiting for tay

I think they will. Weather on that city is way more friendly and I think all will learn from the mistakes from Rio. I wonder if she’s gonna say something on the shows about what happened or at least a cryptic or something. That would be ideal despite not changing everything on the deaths and people.
Movimento Perpétuo Posted November 19, 2023 Posted November 19, 2023 The rampant xenophobia through this thread has been crazy. Wow 9
Toxicity. Posted November 19, 2023 Posted November 19, 2023 Tonight’s show is still on looks like we’re back on track
Joyride Posted November 19, 2023 Posted November 19, 2023 everything seems to be working fine today. most of the changes were positive.
Maroonx Posted November 19, 2023 Posted November 19, 2023 I was able to read this entire thread, coz I kept seeing the word xenophobia in this and other threads referring to this fiasco... I gotta say, I didn't see anything outrageous, aside from a member talking negatively about Brazil based on his experience and another one saying "the show was better in my country than in Brazil" which is such a stupid and ignorant comment. I also noticed a lot of yoll crucified @byzantium for comments that weren't remotely xenophobic/racist. I think you guys need to open a dictionary and study some vocabulary. There were more concerning and dangerous things said in this topic... such as people pushing the narrative that it would've been better for Taylor to do the show, because fans were already in the stadium waiting, and the weather was going to cool down. Hmmmm, IDK if you guys understand the concept of BODY HEAT, when everyone is jumping around, packed close together with other people... The temp outside might've been like 27C but when you put all those people together inside a stadium, the temp would probably be over 35C in there. So It was the most appropriate decision to cancel. Could they have made that call earlier, yes definitely, but that's not a call Taylor herself makes, it's a whole group of people. I cannot stress enough that I understand the frustration from fans who travelled and paid A LOT of money to go to her show. Especially now with inflation, and I know this because I was in Brazil in August and I have family who live in Brazil. I hope people can step back and reflect on what they write, coz damn... this topic is a mess.
