Taylor Swift has postponed her show in Brazil

If another fan died, she would literally be blamed for everything. It was the right thing to do. It was not in her control to cancel everything at the beginning, that's a team decision.

It looks like her team was trying to make it work till the last possible moment... cancelling was definitely the better choice though

What is this kind of thinking? Everyone is responsible for their own health. I’m sorry but it’s the fans fault. No one else

The venue did not allow attendees to bring their water battles inside despite the extreme heat.

They made the right call.

Apparently Taylor and her team have been in contact with officials all day as to whether to outright cancel or simply postpone. We all know how Taylor feels about fully canceling a show, so it’s likely they had to come to an agreement on postponing, which is why the announcement came so late in the day, which is unfortunate. Also, apparently Taylor and her dancers aren’t feeling well themselves after yesterday’s show, so it’s likely they were always wanting a postponement, but these negotiations aren’t done with the snap of a finger.

This is such an awful situation for everyone involved. The venue and promoters dropped the ball in so many ways, and this could’ve all been avoided, including a senseless death.

She should have postponed it the minute the news of the fan who died came out out of respect to her.

Airlines are starting to let the fans re-schedule their flights for free due to the postponement

She did the right thing, but she could’ve done it a few hours earlier. Wondering if she’ll postpone tomorrow too.

Or just do floor seating like the US.

This would never work for us.

This is why i wont ever, even abroad, go to stadium concerts, the only exception being if im on a vip area with space, food, view, separete entrance/exit. The other way to get on a stadium is if Tina Turner comes back to life and make another tour lol

Till then i will be arena first, everything look bettet inside a arena, everything is calm and relaxed, i paid less than 40 euros to see Britney and Shakira from a vip area on the floor and I did mike eye contact with both several times (im tall)... this is they way to me.

I cant see why people, besides the artists, love stadium tour, the stage looks ugly, the effects look cheap, the sound often is messed up due to size and acousticd, u see ur diva like you looking at her from a plane or u look from the display.

I would prefer to wait for the dvd/movie version lol

Why?

U would need a cultural change. Usually concerts with chairs on the floor is considered "old people concert" like if u are gonna watch Paul McCartney.

People here go to a concert with the mentality they will be really on a dance club.

Brazilians dont go watch a concert, Brazilians go give the concert together with the act. Lol So people here want to perform on the dancefloor singing for thec artist. People dont even care to listen the artist, they want to be part of the song.

Thats why i think chairs wouldnt work. I also think people would start fights and use the chairs.

What we need are sections, fenced, each of them holding a humanely confortable ammount of people. So they can move and be quiet if they are tired.

This is both great PR and great for fans.

Based on what I’m seeing though, no one can move so dancing would be out of the question. There is no leg room. Chairs just gives you the option to stand or sit.

I think One Direction did that before (Splitting sections) on one of their tours. Might be better but in heat, still think chairs would be better.

Yeah that would be a good alternative.

Right decision, but should have been cancelled the day before though, latest the morning of. Waiting until everyone is already in the stadium is still somewhat kinda negligent, ngl. :emofish:

Didn't the fan who unalived not even make it to Sabrina's set? So this literally still could have happened, regardless of the show being cancelled late or not.

They put more fans, give water, give more shade to counter the heat... But its still not enough and some fans are already suffering so the decision was made.

The way some haters are still trying to spin the narrative as Taylor's fault... While she is clearly one of the more caring artist out there.

Notice how I didn't blame Taylor for this late cancellation in my post... the decision to cancel is obviously not hers and hers alone to make. I'm sure she was calling for it since yesterday. But nothing in my post is untrue. People were still out there in the stadium for the worst of the heat, this literally could have happened again which is terrifying and the people responsible for delaying the decision to cancel should be held accountable for that.

Not y’all acting as if you work for taylor or for the government and you know what agreements she has in her contracts…

just to end up saying “apparently”…

if taylor swift doesn’t have the power to make a decision, then I don’t know who does…

Oh i quoted you to explain why the decision was made later, cause they did try to improve the conditions but its still not enough.

The 2nd part of my post is not related to your post but talking in general, some haters using this as an opportunity to drag Taylor and its sick.
