Apple Music has reportedly been penalizing streaming fraud since 2022

Not sure why Dua is being mentioned when she’s top 30 on the Global chart even with low support from the US (the biggest country on AM by far).

Apple Music trying to be the Houdini of streaming services by disappearing with the artist's royalties.

Super interesting. Cause I have seen you drag Taylor for being “local” multiple time even in Dua’s music thread, but Taylor currently has 7 songs in the top 25 on this chart you’re talking about?  So sorry, we don’t accept your definition of GLOBAL (worldwide, in the world, planet earth, +100 countries including Trump's country) cause it’s indeed a new and unfamiliar term for you

I mean, it would be a shame if she didn't have songs in the top 25 considering she released +50 songs in the last year and for the first time she's doing a GLOBAL tour (worldwide, the world, Planet Earth, which took her 17 years being able to visit +20 countries, including Trump's country), while other female acts only released 2 songs

It's #25 AM Global chart. I don't think the song even entered the top 10 since release. :skull:

Even with that...you proved my point.

Released 50 songs and only two of them got some cute lil push as “single”, the exact same number as the other act. The only difference is the TTH residency and huge radio payola the other act has got.

Not to mention a 2019 song named “lover” is above a certain so-called global smash hit released this year on that AM Global chart

Thank you for praising Taylor’s longevity power cause only the god knows where the other acts are 17 years into their career. And it’s not Taylor’s fault that their tour made 0 noise and has 0 effect on their streams

No wonder Taylor is their most streamed female artists. No streaming fraud allowed. :clap3:

This is really interesting.

Though, it's unlikely this will do much.

The industry has flipped on its head and is now a live-led/brand-led field.

Labels and the biggest distributors will continue to do the bot thing to inflate streams because "surface success" will make for the opportunities that bring in the real coin like touring and brand endorsements.

Artists already make next to nothing from streams, so I can see things moving in a direction where streaming numbers and charting are literally and totally a loss-making exercise to get the real bag.

The press attached to debuting with huge numbers, going #1 etc directly feeds into the more important things. And because it's so widespread with acts who the stakes are high for, it's doubtful much will change. Especially as streamers need big acts as much as big acts need streams.

Makes sense why it’s the only platform where Legend Kylie is slaying

No frauds allowed

So Beyoncé smashes organically on AM is the new narrative for me then

This is interesting. A certain girly has the 2 most streamed female albums on Spotify but always struggle to crack Apple Music. This explains why. :clap3:

Hopefully we hear about Tidal soon too :bird:
