As an (American 😟) iPhone user of about 15 years, thank god for the EU and  F U C K  Apple for taking this long. Fuggin embarrassing ass company making life harder for their own customers bc they know they have no competitive edge anymore.

They're probably gonna make them a different color :rip: This will at least make messaging a lot easier without having to rely on a third-party app

For people in the US u can by an Iphone for a reasonable price that u guys think is expensive. In Brazil the latest Phone costs like 15x minimum wage.

So, no im not paying it for status when Samsung offers currently a superior products (look it up).

The flagship Samsung phones cost just as much the iPhones... Apple just doesn't offer more economic options (outside of the SE). And honestly, most Americans don't even actually pay for the phone (at least not outright). All the major carriers offer monthly payments and sometimes even give you the phone for free (with a service contract).

The whole status thing is dumb to me tbh. Just pick the phone you like, it really shouldn't be that serious.

This won’t. Just look at Japan. Nearly everyone has an iPhone. Same in other countries. iPhones are becoming the default as younger people want prefer iPhones.

I just find it funny as all these companies. Apple, Google and Meta are American tech monopolies.

Might Japan also be influenced a bit by certain feeling about Korea?

Personally, the lack of app optimisation, bad selfie cameras and hideous emojis is what keeps me from buying an Android :skull: even if on paper an Android has like a 200 MP camera it still looks worse than an iPhone pic when posted on social media

that's because it is worse than iPhone's camera. Apple patented its camera lense that is absolutely better than anything any Android phone can offer. That's why they keep adding MP number constantly but their photos still look like cr*p when compared to iphone's.

Honestly sounds like a good time to do this. Apple has pretty much lost all its "cool factor" and I say that as a apple only cult member. :rip:

For the first time in my life I was actually looking at wireless earbuds that WEREN'T air pods color me shocked. :dancehall:

Maybe. But Sony is a phone manufacturer, and even they aren’t dominating sales like Apple.

Did you take this with iPhone 15's 48MP camera ?

What? I never said Apple was superior I just don’t like the way the OS on androids operate. It’s choppy to me, It’s just a personal preference, it’s not that serious.

I never get this some of these critiques. You mentioned you don't like the way it looks, Android gives you far more options to tailor your phone to your specific liking and needs. As long as you're buying Samsung, they'll always be optimized to the highest degree.

Obviously never buy a phone on launch cause it's buggy as hell, but iOS has that same issue.

I don’t like the different shapes of the apps, I like them all uniform, I don’t like how the phone itself is more square, and I just feel like the animations on my iPhone are more fluid than androids or I could just be use to mine after 10 years. If android could run iOS I’d almost consider one.

The shapes of the apps? Do you mean the icons? You can actually change the shape of those as well on most Androids and Samsung. As far as animation goes, Samsung has has 120hz refresh rate far before iOS and that has only gotten refined. My S23 Ultra is just as smooth as my friends iPhone, you really can't tell the difference.

My biggest gripe with Samsung was always the battery, everything else I knew could be tailored however I wanted it. The S23 Ultra finally nailed that issue down for me. My friend who has the latest iPhone always ask me to take pictures of her with my phone, she's always surprised by the quality. I remember a time when Samsung had trash cameras🥲

if you buy a S23 / S23+ instead of an Ultra, it would be rounded instead of rectangle.

what do you mean by different shapes of apps? apps wouldn't change logos on different operation systems and they have the same logos as on the ios of course? and as the other user said it's highly customizable so you can do & choose whatever you want with the logos.

120hz animations are smoother on flagship Galaxy devices than iOS. 120hz is still only available in Apple Pro / Pro Max models while it's always available in all S series including base ones.

iPhone Cameras lenses are not patented and in fact they're produced by Sony :deadbanana:

Apple's camera is NOT better than flagship Samsung phones.

Because their phone is bad. The camera is so clucky to use, lack of software updates, etc.

Google Pixel meanwhile has gained momentum in Japan and we love to see it.

Mehh I don't think it rly matters as most Europeans use whatsapp instead of imessage/sms
