Do you miss these UK hitmakers?

Thinking about many popstars from the UK who served hit after hit for 2-3 eras but then slowly faded away or never experienced the same level of success again... Ellie Goulding, Rita Ora and Dua Lipa are some of the exceptions maybe

Glad to hear that Cheryl is returning for the Girls Aloud comeback!

Her unsuccessfully trying to match Xtina vocals was such a kii :rip: Mercury set her up

Never really rated Cheryl much honestly, but Pixie, Leona and Alexandra Burke were all queens. It's funny that Natasha was bigger in the US than the UK despite being British. Pocketful of Sunshine didn't even chart in the UK :rip:

I remember thinking it didn't do that badly since it went top 10 but it only charted for 4 weeks :toofunny2:

It's kind of a kii how British pop stars would just stop trying once they started flopping. We needed girlies who were in it for the music as well as the fame

I wouldn't exactly call them exceptions :rip: Ellie had three successful eras and then flopped (not counting Miracle), Rita had two successful eras and her third utterly tanked

It’s kind of insane to think that Cheryl was the biggest celebrity in the UK at one point

i cant think of a single one that has thrived in forever. ellie rita jess glynne anne marie are all on life support rn. charli never broke through fully. marina and florence moved away from charts, jessie j is gone

Adele, Dua and Little Mix (rip) the only ones serving consistency!

Leona :jonny5:

Cheryl, Pixie, Ella, Alexa Dixon, Lily Allen too many girls that deserved better

Leona produced two excellent albums and two decent ones. It’s a travesty how her career was handled.
