Kayseri Mantisi Posted November 16, 2023 Posted November 16, 2023 Nine artists have agreed to lend their voices so far — Demi Lovato, Troye Sivan, Charli XCX, Sia, John Legend, Charlie Puth, Papoose, Alec Benjamin and T-Pain. Thoughts?

shookspeare Posted November 16, 2023 Posted November 16, 2023 this is the kind of thing I imagine being fun for like a week but after that it's not interesting anymore. I could be wrong ofc but the whole concept of AI art is so boring to me 11
KingWitch Posted November 16, 2023 Posted November 16, 2023 Kii can I reupload these on spotify and start my music career as Demi Lovato(AI's version) ? 2
Tasty Posted November 16, 2023 Posted November 16, 2023 I wish you could use it with stems, I don't want shitty original music I want easy high quality AI covers.
insomniac Posted November 16, 2023 Posted November 16, 2023 Alec Benjamin “I am proud to be partnering with YouTube and Google to help explore the future of AI technology and music. It’s exciting to be on the forefront of this new chapter in music history.” Charlie Puth "I'm extremely excited and inspired by the realm of musical possibilities that come from allowing the human-mind to collaborate with the non-human mind. YouTube has been a great partner in outlining their approach to AI and understands the need to work together with artists like me to develop this technology responsibly, ensuring it will accelerate creativity instead of replacing it.” Charli XCX “When I was first approached by YouTube I was cautious and still am, AI is going to transform the world and the music industry in ways we do not yet fully understand. This experiment will offer a small insight into the creative opportunities that could be possible and I’m interested to see what comes out of it.” Demi Lovato "The development of AI technology is rapidly changing the way we navigate the landscape and I believe as artists we need to be a part of shaping what that future looks like. My career has been about pushing boundaries of and creating the most interesting music for my fans. I am open minded and hopeful that this experiment with Google and YouTube will be a positive and enlightening experience” John Legend “Being a part of YouTube’s Dream Track experiment is an opportunity to help shape possibilities for the future. As an artist, I am happy to have a seat at the table and I look forward to seeing what the creators dream up during this period.” Louis Bell "We’re at a crucial crossroads in human history, and participating in determining our direction is humbling. Ultimately, technology can't substitute for personal taste; therefore, a chef with access to infinite ingredients must still rely on his own intuition in the end.” Papoose “I think this experiment is an amazing ground breaking opportunity for all artists and creators. I am more than honored to be included. I strongly believe A I has a significant place in the future of music. Embracing the future is something we all shouldn’t be afraid of. Its beyond human capabilities will inspire future artists tremendously. While simultaneously being useful to artist of the past.. This is In deed the best example of innovation I’ve seen in a long time.” Sia “I’m excited to be a part of YouTube’s cutting edge Dream Track experiment and I can’t wait to hear what kinds of recipes all you creators out there come up with!” T-Pain “The development of AI technology is happening quickly and we should be a part of that process. I have always been about pushing the boundaries of technology and harnessing it to make the most interesting music for my fans. Who knows what the future holds but joining hands with YouTube and Google to help shape that future feels like a great first step.” Troye Sivan “I’ve collaborated with and trusted Google/YouTube for many years, and while I remain cautious about the future of AI - I’m both excited and curious to see how this creative experiment evolves.” https://blog.youtube/creator-and-artist-stories/youtube-dream-track-ai-artists/

Cruel Summer Posted November 16, 2023 Posted November 16, 2023 I understand why Charli would agree to this, but I’m still disappointed. AI “art” is such an exhausting topic. 2
AvadaKedavra Posted November 16, 2023 Posted November 16, 2023 (edited) Sooner or later AI will be part of the lives of everyone in every single thing. U cant stop the future. Yes there's a lot of concerns but... If you do and youre against AI in the next decade u will be seen like this man. Edited November 16, 2023 by AvadaKedavra 1

AI skepticism with regard to how it impacts creativity and how capitalist structures will inevitably abuse that impact is not simply being out of touch, and dismissing it as a Luddite perspective misses the nuances of the situation and ignores legitimate concerns. Of course it will be part of our lives, and of course some good will come of it, but it doesn’t need to invade the creative outlets that make so many people’s lives fulfilling. AI fanaticism is just as misguided as a total rejection of AI technology. 4

AI fanaticism is just as misguided as a total rejection of AI technology. Agree. We need like you said rules to protect artists and the workers.....But the rules should go to mostly to Corporations and not the GP If AI is exclusive to the Corporations and not the public i think it will be dangerous and they will take advantage of us I think it should be mandatory to hire human staff everywhere. Corporations have to hire or hire people. Automatization and AI will bring hundreds of millions to the streets and the Tech head will gladly take that hit cause theyre psychopathic Things like Disney usin AI art for their movies instead of animators should be illegal. I personally feel like this is where we should be focusing our fights. To save our future jobs I also feel like we need more campaigns of how important is too support handmade art too. Kids from the new gens shouldnt lose their love for Real Handmade Artisan Art. Im not against AI art but theres nothing like ART Coming from Pure Human Skill. I think it has bigger value If we depend on AI we will be unable to do anything. Is good to work with Ai but also to polish our skills but i think sis if were against it totally we will be seen as out of touch by the gen alpha and beta and new ones. We will be seen like.........Oh that old man against AI. In one decade this will be the reality Not trying to downplay yll. Just makin a prediction of the future. AI will soon change the society. Sorry if my point came as rude and weird. My intention was not fighting. The concerns are very valid I was just trying to make a fatalist point of the scary reality AI scares me too. The line between reality and artificial is gettin shorter-blurry What if we are AI? What if im a robot and i dont know what if i was replaced by AI already Edited November 16, 2023 by AvadaKedavra
Shimenawa Posted November 16, 2023 Posted November 16, 2023 So they sold their voices to YouTube? I wonder how much they got paid for that
PennywiseTheClown Posted November 16, 2023 Posted November 16, 2023 Cute little gimmick but the delusional and pretentious quotes from the singers are so cringe. "Pushing boundaries to create the most interesting music"Girl you're part of a Youtube toy for bored teens 4
