50thStateofMind Posted November 15, 2023 Posted November 15, 2023 the only correct answers for Beyonce would be 4 or BDay since they are her lower-scoring, but still loved (and highly regarded) albums...

Born to Die has a 62 Born to Die wasn’t acclaimed upon arrival and no one claimed that. It was huge on decade-end and via retrospective lists, though. 1

I do love it though! Agreed!

Ewan Chaos Posted November 15, 2023 Posted November 15, 2023 Definitely Teenage Dream. Born to Die & Blackout both had negative reviews at the time, yes, but received a lot of actual retrospective acclaim that people claim Teenage Dream has received but it really hasn't. I'm sure there are a lot of better answers too based on what stan twitter says but Teenage Dream is probably the best answer.

punisher Posted November 15, 2023 Posted November 15, 2023 Nickis entire discography The self proclaimed queen of rap cant even get a 70+ metacritic score 1
shookspeare Posted November 15, 2023 Posted November 15, 2023 the way some people talk about anti on here I'd expect it to be 85+ but it's sitting at 73 1

Pet Sounds and Abbey Road would probably average scores in the 60s as well during their time, yet, they are some of the most celebrated albums of all time now

I personally find "4" to be overrated by a lot of Bey stans though. But here are some, from each pop girl lol Chromatica - personally i think its her worst album by a mile 4 - it's just missing a cohesive sound imo Blackout - Brit sounds completely devoid on it Fearless- I'll never understand how this won AOTY SOS - CTRL is such a superior album lol Chromatica (more specifically fan faves replay, enigma, 911) are among her worst songs period. 4 is my favorite Bey album but blackout is just noise and I don’t understand the hype it’s gotten on here as of late.

From what was on the Grammys radar that year, I would’ve given AOTY to Wolfgang Amadeus Phoenix
Fitzswiftie Posted November 15, 2023 Posted November 15, 2023 Charlie Puth 2022 self titled sitting at 83 on MC, whilst Voicenotes is at 67. Clearly critics were playing catchup and overcompensating.
