Normani started her solo career 5 years ago today

Normani could have had a strong online fanbase had she released a few eps or album, even if she flopped with the GP, like charli and carly

It's so wild to remember how promising she seemed when Motivation dropped :deadbanana2:

I used to be interested in her debut, she could be interesting and have some moderate success. She wasted so many opportunities

… she wasted both major chances she had. The industry was behind her during motivation. The GP was with her for Wild Side… and nothing. Idk if she would have had a huge career but she could’ve done reasonably well if she had simply RELEASED AN ALBUM.

Whatever she has recorded so far she needs to just release it. Even if the album is just a playlist album. She promote whatever has potential to go viral.

Totally forgot about this girl until they played motivation at work the other day :dies:

It’s her fault for willingly signing to RCA. She should’ve payed attention to the way they fumbled Tinashe. But even while Nashe was in label purgatory she still gave us some of her best work by releasing EP’s. I wonder why Normani couldn’t even do that.

I’d like to think RCA is better now as they have been focusing on curating their talent. Lucky Daye a much smaller artist than Normani was able to release an album despite being unknown. He scored a semi-hit on Tiktok and was awarded at the Grammy’s.

It’s not about how high you go it’s about how consistent you are. I think Camila scoring Havana really skewed her idea of what out-of-the-band success looks like.

A shame. I really enjoyed wild side

She abandoned it a month after release. Her fans beg her to do promo but she doesn’t. Which other artist that has just debuted does that :rip:

The fans (especially 5H fans) keep making theories about why her and the other 3 girls aren't releasing album yet. At this point it is better to just release that albums and see what tracks that will stick and become viral/hits...

By this point I think they're gonna speak out until 2030 or something, but I'm guessing it all points out to the industry shady ways

Damn :gaycat6: Not releasing after Wild Side was such a horrible decision. I'll still check out her album if she ever releases one but I'm not sure she'll ever be able to regain the hype and attention she had earlier
