So how do you define fraudulent streams? Is it the unfiltered/filtered streams?

 

I’m a little scared because I stream Taylor on Spotify but I put an earphone and never really listen. My ears bleed when I listen to that cheap app but we need the numbers.

 

I listen to Apple Music though which is the superior streaming service. It just sucks that they don’t publish their numbers.

The only artist I am aware of which committed real streams fraud is Beyonce with Jay Z Tidal. I doubt she is still doing it on Spotify though given how low her numbers became.

But whenever I liked a song, I would stream it over and over again for the whole day. Until I het sick of it. Lol. Usually that’s the case with a Taylor album. That’s what I play when I’m commuting to my office and when I’m going home after work.

 

Although yeah, I use AM. But I put it on background on spotify after to compensate my streams from apple music. I need my streams to be counted.

You do realize that even if AM doesn't share the numbers, your streams are counted too?

You can still have 89% fraudulent streams which is a lot for labels to work with but the fine being so small is laughable. I do think the percentage will decrease over time .

90% From freaude, does that mean that many label artists inflate their reproductions by about 80%?It is known that spotify is not the reality of what is popular etc but this is absurd

Very interested in this, let's see how this rolls out while buying streams is no surprise interested to know how it affects small indie artists. If they are saying 90% that means there are labels who are pushing even this threshold.
