short lived as far as solo careers. since music careers are spaced out due to their nature I'm not taking into consideration years.

Not the most iconic. But incredible. 
 

Ashanti. From 2001-2003 she was everywhere. Her voice was all over the radio, her songs played all summer. Then her label had major issues and just like that her time was done. 
 

Her moment was in between the Y2K pop era and the rap dominance.
