Amy Whinehouse was everywhere at the time, not always for good reasons but her career was definitely kinda iconic.

Christina Aguilera made some noise too back then when she debuted and giab remains popular in several countries to this day.

Cassie - Me and U + Long Way 2 Go were bops. Even Is It You from the Step Up movie was chill and nice. Hope she returns, her breezy pop/RNB sound is awesome.

Ashlee Simpson - Her first two albums were brilliant.

JoJo - I know she's still releasing music now but before her halt, her debut album + The High Road were brilliant eras.

Jordin Sparks - Tattoo, No Air, One Step At a Time >>>>>

Amy is the literal definition of this, it's crazy how iconic she became so quickly and how much her influence in music is still felt even though her career was so brief and her discography is so small. She made a huge impact in the time she was here.

From Wannabe in July 1996 to Forever in November 2000

Still, 80million records sold worldwide, Western-world sold out arena and stadium tours and cultural impact that still lasts today. Defined the 90s and a whole generation, bringing feminism to the masses in Girl Power form. Shame about the abrupt end though, they were truly the greatest girlband ever to exist.

Not the most iconic but there are soooo many singers who came from the X Factor that deserved more. Alexandra Burke, Rebecca Ferguson, Fleur East, the list goes on

Her early hits were iconic but she had successful 2017 year as well so her career is not short lived

@OP how is Cheryl short-lived when GA (which you mentioned in the post) had 5 albums, 2 GHs, successful tours, a lot of top 10 UK hits and on top of that she had 3 successful albums on her own :deadbanana2:
