Anvarie Posted November 14, 2023 Posted November 14, 2023 Meatcanyon does some pretty good critiques of popular figures. I think the portrayal of Swifties was pretty accurate but lmk what y’all think 3
Mr. Mendes Posted November 14, 2023 Posted November 14, 2023 I gotta be so fr I'm not even really sure how to respond to that
Jotham Posted November 14, 2023 Posted November 14, 2023 I am tired of hearing about them but this is so cringeworthy.
P!NK2LOVE Posted November 14, 2023 Posted November 14, 2023 Taylor Swift is big enough now for there to be different factions of fans everywhere. Like The Hunger Games. In District 1-11, we have our normal fans who just love the music. In Disctricy 12, we have the cupcakes (losers, if you will). These people will project their own insecurities and dreams onto her, for some reason. Never grasping the fact that she’s her own person and can live… well, her own life. Exiled, in District Hell, we have the Gaylors. But that’s a story for another day. 12
Cruel Summer Posted November 14, 2023 Posted November 14, 2023 I don’t think this dragged Taylor, really. Unhealthily attached Swifties, sure. I’d watch a longer piece, Taylor as an SCP is a concept 3
Soda Pop Queen Posted November 14, 2023 Posted November 14, 2023 lol that was high-key some animated horror short.

KingWitch Posted November 14, 2023 Posted November 14, 2023 They definitely dragged the swifties that's for sure
iamanearthling Posted November 14, 2023 Posted November 14, 2023 That was supposed to be funny? Isn’t this joke of her dating guys and breaking up a bit late and old? 4
Reginald Posted November 14, 2023 Posted November 14, 2023 "Taylor Swift, whose new song Trouble on The 44-Yard Line is already 12x platinum"
HASHTAGPOW Posted November 14, 2023 Posted November 14, 2023 Hope someone turns this into a horror movie 1
Fleahive Posted November 14, 2023 Posted November 14, 2023 I was hoping she’d spit out a new album from that throat tumor she had. All the girls go rabid listening to the album and then kill her ex as she bathes in piles of cash. That’d be a more realistic ending.

The joke in the video isn't about Taylor's dating life; its how the portion of the fan base that are living vicariously through Taylor and take her relationships personally and obsess over them. Look at stan twitter or the subreddit for Taylor and you'll find people posting about crying at their relationship because she ran up to him immediately after a concert and jumped into his arms, long winded essays about how this will be it for Taylor because Travis is used to the spotlight and will be able to handle it with her, etc. The majority of people posting on other forums that focus on her and Discord chats exhibit the kind of behavior this video is making fun of. This is not the same as other artists. I am knee deep in a ton of Taylor Swift fansites, Discords, and communities and ATRL's base for Taylor is the most normal I have found. The majority of people posting on other forums and chats exhibit the kind of behavior this video has. Stan twitter? Lols. don’t they do the absolute worst for every artist? Have you seen the football fans? I guess Taylor do bring out the crazies everywhere, be it fans or haters. Lols

I mostly posted since I have additional context on what sparked this video because I like what him and his team puts out and he mentioned what inspired this video is him going through a ton of Taylor stans on Twitter's tweets. But yes, I do agree that that isn't the best representation - and I agree that football fans are just as bad. I'm involved in those as well and when the team I follow wins, the fans of that city are prone to destroy property on the street in celebration. Edited November 14, 2023 by Gladiator

So I shared it in response to people who think it's about her dating life. Nothing is "deep" or "too much" - its a video making fun of unhinged fans. I just said a lot. Blade Runner Posted November 14, 2023 Posted November 14, 2023 As usual with these losers, they like to drag and make fun of female oriented acts. Just look at that caricature. Nothing new here.
AxelFox Posted November 14, 2023 Posted November 14, 2023 The video is kinda creepy but I would imagine that's how most* people over the age of sixteen see taylor swift and her rabid cult of teenage girls tbh
