Adele set to launch cosmetics line

The singer - who has just finished a leg of her Las Vegas residency - has set up a new company and applied for a trademark in the name of The Shelbourne Collective. It would allow her to make her own beauty products, which could include eyeshadows similar to the ones her make-up artist uses to create her smokey eyes look, along with thick eyeliner.

She would also be able to sell body care products, including creams and lotions, as well as lipsticks and lip balms, along with perfume, jewellery, watches and even underwear. The nature of business for her new company, set up this month, is “specialised design activities”.

Ugh like no offense to Adele bc i stanned so hard for 19-25 but I really don’t see her bringing anything new at all to the cosmetics industry…even the name of the brand sounds dated and matronly

This could work for her. She could market it to the women in their 40+ like her music. it could surprise us and do some cute numbers.

I bet it would do well if she catered the products around her music demographic, geriatric white women.

I mean if she’s going to do a side venture, it should be a Christmas album and not a cosmetic line. It doesn’t even make sense for her

She definitely needs the Christmas album though. Her timeless and classic aesthetic with her retro sound, she’s literally perfect. Would be as classic as Nat King Cole but also would have 10x the commercial success of Mariah :WAP:

on top of my head rolling stone interview “I don’t make music for eyes, I make music for ears”. She was lowkey anti-popstar back then and the GP loved that about her

She really said y'all didn't give me 21 and 25 numbers so I'm OUT

I love her work life balance, queen of efficiency of time :clap3:

Lol, you have no idea how many women of color, and men, like Adele.

Anyway, I wish she'd experiment in her music and not this

But this isn't about music, though. And Adele's still not exactly a popstar. The only problem the fans might have with this is that it just delays her next album.

That’s weird because every video I’ve ever seen of her vegas residency audience looks like they bussed in a bunch of senior citizens from local assisted living facilities. :skull:

Didn't she throw shade on singers who release perfumes before?

Because they can afford the tickets, lol. They've got that white money. But Adele would not have done those numbers in music if she didn't have cross-demographic support.
