OT: People naming songs like BMS and Savage remix desperately when Beyonce's last smash single was from 15 years ago is soo :ahh:

“Cuff It” is at over 700M Spotify streams already in just a year which is massive for an artist who debuted in 2003, especially one whose technical debut was 1997. I hate the song and it was inescapable in the U.S., where it’s already over 3x Platinum.

It is only the 39th most streamed song of 2022 and it is already below 600k daily globally. It is a hit but it is not a "smash"

the absolute delusion of grouping these songs together :ahh:

OT : remove taylor and add Beyoncé who has 4 decades of smashers and counting :cm:

You're right, Hung Up is far bigger than Cruel Summer, Anti-Hero, Cuff It, and Break My Soul :gaycat1:

it's all success stans.  They can't possibly believe Midnights is on par with Erotica or Bedtime Stories.

success stans plus people hiding behind taylor to drag other artists

This is dumb. Many artists surpass this threshold

Some of you have… very generous definitions of “smash hit”

I think this thread showcases how stans CLEARLY only listen to their fav and have no knowledge of any other artists.  Dozens and dozens of examples were given, and yet the OP thinks it’s just Taylor. That tells me they don’t listen to anyone else BUT Taylor, and that’s scary.

Rihminder that Janet is still one of only two solo artists with multiple #1s in 3 decades (the other one being her brother) :clap3:

Peaks? Please

You Belong with Me, a 15 year old song, is currently charting on Australia, UK, Ireland, Argentina, Philippines and others.

It's also eligible for diamond in the US.

This forgotten Britney song has nothing but peaks next to You Belong with Me.

Beyoncè

90’s - say my name, jumpin jumpin

2000’s - crazy in love, irreplaceable, upgrade u, diva, beautiful liar, halo, if I were a boy, single ladies

2010’s - best thing I never had, run the world, drunk in love, partition, formation

2020’s - break my soul, cuff it, america has a problem

You gotta be kidding. There is no smash hit in 2010's and 2020's
