She was already the only female artist to replace herself at #1 back in 2014 with Shake It Off -> Blank Space. Pretty sure no other female artist did that since.

Don't know about male artists, but I'm sure it already happened.

Ariana did it with thank u next and 7 rings.

Quite a few men did + Black eyed Peas. Elvis, Beatles, Boyz II Men, Usher,  TI.

No, she didn't.

She replaced herself on the pop radio which is done all the time.

No woman has replaced herself on the Hot 100 other than Taylor.

This dumb ass narrative that you can say negative things about a popstar only if your fave is in the same league or above

And in what world is Taylor a bigger legend than Gaga? :toofunny3:

Are you serious about this? :rip:

Is It Over Now hanging in there, and will probably get 4-5 weeks in total in the top ten, maybe more with how radio loves it. :clap3:

She replaced herself twice. Is she the first one to do this?

The Beatles have done it with 3 different songs back to back

Self-replacement at number one

† – The Beatles are the only act in history to have three consecutive, self-replacing No. 1s.

‡ – BTS and Taylor Swift are the only acts in history to replace themselves at No. 1 two weeks in a row.

4th week should be locked for CS, what about the next following week? Will jake harlow’s new song be a threat? Is payolipa gonna get fired up? Any shot of it returning to the top post xmas?

In 2 weeks I see Mariah in top 3 maybe #1

Given how low points the top 3 has right now and how Xmas songs become more streamed each year, I wouldn’t be surprised it’ll be #1 in 2 weeks

4th week isn't anywhere close to locked. If I learned anything, nothing is locked until at least Thursday night, and sometimes until the charts are released on Monday. If Rich Flex on its debut week can be beaten, then any song is certainly beatable. And this happened, when we were all so sure that Stay was going to block Industry Baby:

It's very possible that Jack puts out 8-10 remixes of Lovin on Me on Thursday, to block both CS and PTTR.

As for post-Christmas, I think Jack's new song (if it holds) and Greedy are the early contenders for the #1. I also see Water reaching the Top 5, and White Horse the Top 10.

Yeah Cruel Summer is far from locked especially with points this low. It's the front runner now but anything can happen, and even if it doesn't get #1 it already had three weeks, that's already huge, especially since it's still on top on its 27th week. I wonder where is Anti-Hero on its 27th week?

If I remember correctly, it was still hanging on to the Top 10. It ended up spending 28 weeks in the Top 10 (like Kill Bill and Flowers), so it was probably at #9 or #10 in Week 27.

Only Die For You (Week 31) and Last Night (Week 28) were #1 at any point later than Cruel Summer in 2023.

You’re talking wild hypotheticals that has a very slim chance of happening.

Jake’s new song barely has more streams than CS, while having basically no radio atm. The gaps between them are considered safe.

as for dropping 10 remixes: Im sure jake harlow doesn’t have the fanbase or the pull to make this work. It worked for Taylor cus it happened to coincide with the eras tour tickets about to go on sale and people thinking it might give them a better chance at snatching a tix. Even for Taylor. It probably wouldn’t have worked for her if not for that, And Jake harlow certainly couldn’t have made it work now with thr website sales being ignored and only iTunes sales being counted.

im happy to eat my own words if jake somehow makes it happen, but CS’s biggest challenge should be pttr rn and we should buy a remix or two.
