Which is this one we currently live in. And no, single-week top ten debuts like "Stupid Love" and "Dope" don't actually count as "hits" - Million Reasons has nearly 800m streams on Spotify, has reached 4.5m US units - Always Remember Us This Way has over 1.1b streams on Spotify, has reached 5m units in the US - Bloody Mary is nearing 500m Spotify streams after going viral, and has become a certified Halloween classic Edited November 13, 2023 by Hot Volcano 1 1

It would have been astounding if it did any less than it did, but it certainly didn't go number one despite its massive platform and exposure. ARUTW is from a Bradley Cooper movie and didn't make the top 40. Bloody Mary isn't all that special when you consider Cruel Summer had similar origin story and completely overshadowed it. Not only that, but Bloody Mary also failed to even hit the top 40. 2 1

Around #20 for 2023 and um. I dont see it reaching #1 for 2024 But it could still get decently high, but yeah #1 weeks below 200 points arent getting you to a year end #1
Cruel Summer Posted November 14, 2023 Posted November 14, 2023 Not this weird **** about people not focusing hard enough on the Beatles’ song debuting in the top ten. Congrats to the magnificent Taylor Swift for another week at #1 with her mega-smash Cruel Summer! Would be cute to see it hold on for one more to tie Shake It Off! 6
Sabrina Carpenter Posted November 14, 2023 Posted November 14, 2023 girl nobody gaf about the beatles another legendary record for Miss Swift 1

Saying “Taylor is bigger than Gaga” is simply disrespectful, cause she is like 13x times bigger than Gaga, in the real world and I’ve considered Gaga’s movie career, not just the streams or tour box office or pure sales, cause Taylor is like 15x times bigger than Gaga in those metrics. But unfortunately the Eras tour movie is ONLY earn around 10 times more profit than House of Gucci (250 million with 20m budget Vs 150 million with 75m budget), so yes, Taylor is only 13x times bigger than Gaga. What a shame Edited November 14, 2023 by HappierJealousy

Well, both cases are impressive and won’t be seen by majority of the musicians, so I don’t get confusion.
1989 Posted November 14, 2023 Posted November 14, 2023 Cruel Summer is a certified smash, we love to see it.
Katy V.! Posted November 14, 2023 Posted November 14, 2023 Is this the first time someone has topped the BB200 and the Hot100 with 2 different eras?

Not only that, but Bloody Mary also failed to even hit the top 40. Not you guys still using "it was performed at the Superbowl!!!" 90% of its streams came post 2017, so your argument makes no sense, the song was never on TTH or any major playlist. It proved longevity is the key, so it is definitely a solo hit with 4.5m units, you would have to be extremely delusional to claim otherwise Bradley Cooper movie? Imao, same pathetic argument from 2019 just like the Superbowl argument from 2017. Meanwhile, Gaga was the one who clearly saved that movie given her Oscar win, acting nomination and success of her solo songs compared to his solo songs a top 40 peaks means absolutely nothing, "it reached 5m US units", "but...but.....but it did not peak inside the top 40, so its not a hit!!11!!" Billboard listed Bloody Mary as the 5th most streamed song in the US in the first 6 months, with over 500m streams, how the hell is that not a hit? Not to mention it had over 2 bilion global streams. 6 hours ago, spree said: It really puts this site into perspective of how young and stupid everyone is, lol. Støned Posted November 14, 2023 Posted November 14, 2023 Cruel Summer -> Is It Over Now? -> Cruel Summer She replaced herself twice. Is she the first one to do this?

She was already the only female artist to replace herself at #1 back in 2014 with Shake It Off -> Blank Space. Pretty sure no other female artist did that since. Don't know about male artists, but I'm sure it already happened.
