But I must be honest... The categories this year are all so weak

The politics of the vote will be interesting though. This year, there's no Rap or Country nomination for those genres to coalesce around.

 

You'd think the Country audience would split massively to Taylor, which probably advantages her over the other Pop leaning noms if we assume an even split of votes between the rest of them.

 

I anticipate the Rap votes could split a little more, with the majority going to SZA; but some votes could head to Janelle and possibly Batiste.

Taylor, Miley and Lana’s albums weren’t as good as those. I haven’t heard the other albums so I can’t judge them

I would be cool to see SZA win like Lauryn Hill at the 1999 Grammys. SOS has both the high acclaim and high commercial success to do it. Plus, there's the singer-songwriter element the academy seems to prioritize so much.

It will be SZA and very deserved, too. A great album, massive success, a big hit. It was ubiquitous from December until July.

Not sure if I have a clear favourite from that list, but the meltdowns if Olivia won would be fun to see.

Wouldn't mind if SZA won, although I would have preferred a more trimmed down version of the album with just the best tracks.

see this is how the grammys should be. Every album nominated should be worthy of a win and to be honest, i wouldnt be mad at any of them winning. All are amazing records in their own right.
