But did AIWFC get ruined due to memeing, Xmas marketing and capitalism?

I am, but only because I really don't like Christmas music and that it's the most played song during the season. 

 

I actually think the meme-ification of the song is actually the part I love the most because it actually provides entertainment. Mariah's video this year was just pure fun and camp.

I LOVE AIWFCIY, but it does get a bit overplayed. I just wish people started playing Christmas songs in beginning of December instead of beginning of November right when Halloween ends.

I love it and think it's an excellent song but it is overplayed and I'm getting tired of Mariah being omnipresent every year and only at that time of year. I know she gets paid well but let us miss you and the song queen!

Nope. It's the only Xmas song I ever listen to. I'd play it 4-5 times each season and then be done with it for the rest of the year

No, you only really hear it during two months of the year so it's not like it's being played all year round. Plus it's a Christmas classic, it's like being sick of hearing Jingle Bells

I'm tired not only of that song but of Xmas time basically starting from the 1st of November in general. When we get to the actual day I'm so over it.
