I'm glad I'm gay so the possibility of accidentally having a kid is 0. I just don't see any appeal.

Tell that fat b!tch to wire me some of her millions so I can comfortably afford to have a wedding, buy a house, and bring children into this world. Does she think college tuition money grows on trees? Or do we all just assume it’s free now?

And I’m saying this as someone whose yearly income is in the 90th percentile for a 23 year old in the US.

If the boomer landlords and boomer bank owners weren’t inflicting their greediness on us and actually allowed us to have a home and stability without sucking us dry we would be able to have disposable income and put it into starting families and owning homes. But they don’t so we’re barely managing ourselves let alone a kid.

God boomers are so selfish.

Y’know what, I get where she’s coming from…

I mean, I don't see how because literally nothing she said was correct.

Also her audacity to say millennials and gen-Z only work four hours when that's not true and all she does is a one-hour show a few days a week that she doesn't show up to whenever she wants, and gets paid much more than anyone with a standard 9-5 will see before they turn 40 if they're lucky.

She's such an entitled old bat; she doesn't even work a full work week so I don't really want to hear it from her

So many old people are out of touch with reality. I hope us Millennials and Gen-Z are not this ignorant when we reach that age.

All of them are right

They didn't have it easier. The previous generation had to struggle to raise their families

We are lazy and selfish but because we have seen our parents struggle and they didn't achieve much either. There's no use in doing it

This is a sweeping generalisation lmao. Also untrue. Half of my own family members didnt struggle to raise their families at all. Nor did they work 2 jobs and a side hustle to SURVIVE. And again, many parents DID achieve a lot, this really is all trash you're spewing out of nowhere. We work HARDER than our parents for LESS money, how are we selfish for not wanting to play this game anymore?

My mom is 64. She is a Boomer and very candid about how things were easier back then. She confirms it was much more financially viable to buy a house, there were many more opportunities for assistance from the government if you needed it (in America, much of these were taken away during the Clinton administration) and when you went to the grocery, you could fill your cart with much more than you can nowadays with the same money. There are always those who struggle, but there were many more opportunities for growth than there are today and there were more avenues for assistance if you required it. Moreover, the minimum wage has not increased in fourteen years (in America) despite having gone through multiple recessions and inflation making things much more expensive than they were in 2009.

It's just blatant gaslighting to act as though the economy today is set up in a way that fosters prosperity for youth in the same way it did for the generations preceding us. People are leaving college and going back to live with their parents because IF they can find a job, it's not paying them enough to buy a house or afford rent. If they can afford rent, they can't save for their own house.

Who wants to willingly take on the responsibility of financially supporting a child when you can barely support yourself with what you have? And then with the knowledge that your child may have even less than you do as a result? It's no wonder younger people have decided it's better to make do with scraping by on their own and finding meaning in life outside of having children.

I’ve never wanted children but I especially wouldn’t want them in this current climate. The world is going to ****.

People REALLY need to stop pressuring people into having kids, it's extremely creepy at this point how obsessed society is with measuring your worth as a human being with the number of kids you have/want to have, ESPECIALLY for women. I never wanted kids and that's never going to change, people need to mind their own ******* business and leave people live their lives as they want :biblio:

She honestly needs to stfu!

People who work 40+ hours can’t even afford to buy a house. The problem isn’t work ethic, it’s the economy and housing market. Cost of living has increased significantly and wages have not kept up with this. She is completely out of touch.

I agree. And that's why we don't. But both points of view are correct. They choose to do that we didn't.
