Not a live action... They're setting themselves up for failure with this move. Should've been animated, especially if they're going for a cinematic universe and movies with characters from different games.

i get that a ghibli movie is what everyone wants and would have slayed, but just so we’re all clear if it WAS an animated movie it was 100% going to end up CGI animated and done by Illumination after the success of the mario movie

 

nintendo does not care about yalls thoughts feelings nor desires … and in that sense live action is the best way the could possibly bring this story to life, so maybe mourn what could have been for a second but the never ending parade of whining that it’s not a miyazaki movie (no telling he would have wanted to adapt it anyway) is getting a lil overdone
