base talk Spotify adds definition to the "Classic Christmas" playlist. Thoughts ?

Spotify have added a definition to their Classic Christmas playlist following constant claims of sabotage from stans of certain artists who took to Twitter in droves last year to attack Spotify for its apparent "sabotage". 

This year they have made it very clear that the playlist features " heart warming classics from 1950 to 1980 for the Christmas season "

 

I think it is good that they have cleared up any confusion over this playlist. Although it should have been pretty self explanatory. 

 

Thoughts ?

Everyone already knew this. 
 

no one thought AIWFCIY was left off with ill will - it’s just not old enough by their definition. But this playlist is a major advantage for Brenda and one of the reasons she randomly starts to do so well on US Spotify after weeks of being behind.

the 1950-1980 playlist has less than 3M likes while another official Spotify playlist with Mariah and other more recent songs  has over 5M.

Brenda is definitely trying for it the last couple of years with the discounting, playlisting, Pandora, and now her own It's Time campaign and new videos.

4 official videos counting on youtube while Brenda has just 1, only released

multiple versions counting for streaming/ downloads while Brenda has 1 

Mariah's reach is always far greater than Brenda - she currently has almost DOUBLE the reach of RATCT. 

 

Mariah has always and still holds ALL the advantages and it is actually incredible just how close Brenda gets.

Even if they just kept the most recent one (the Make My Wish one), it would still have way more views than all the RATCT videos (official or not) on YouTube combined. Get over it, taustin.
