The Year of the Dragon is Upon Us. Will Spyro Return?

Hey. Recently it has been revealed that "Reignited Trilogy (Spyro's Version)" is certified Diamond (10 million sales [pure + digital + Bandicoot bundles]), and year of the dragon is upon us (2024).

Can Spyro have a comeback? Should he? Or is he a retired legacy act?

For sure, the whole celebration in the anniversary this year was to start gearing the hype campaign for maybe late next year.

Spyro's Skylanders ft did nothing for his career(nobody even knows that was him) and now he's totally irrelevant outside of 3 games from the 90s that keep getting repackaged for parents to pick up out of a bargain bin to push off onto their children that would rather be watching skibidi toilet. He's the definition of a legacy act.

Mario on the other hand did a billion at the box office and just repeaked almost 40 years in with wonder. Even Sonic ended her. Spyro is Gex-tier and Crash Bandicoot is in trouble associating with that chart poison.

A legacy act I fear :chick3:

Spyro 4 shelved because Activision/Blizzard have law suits and PR disasters to worry about.

Guess he'll be staying at Subway.:bird:

Spyro had a 1-2 punch of games but now it just banks on nostalgia unfortunately :cries:

He's a legend and he deserves a comeback, but only if they take great care to make sure it's as epic as the first three games.  The Legend of Spyro trilogy and Skylanders were disgusting unplayable crimes against art.  If they do anything except make a direct sequel to the Reignited trilogy, it will flop to the pits of hell, and deservedly so :celestial:
