Babar2009 Posted November 4, 2023 Posted November 4, 2023 Look at the crappy born this way tenth anniversary thing she did. This would have been just as bad. She puts no effort in anymore for her fans. She’s so over 3 4
americanlife Posted November 4, 2023 Posted November 4, 2023 Act II was never gonna happen and you know it. 3 1
Mr. Stratus Posted November 4, 2023 Posted November 4, 2023 theres like no demand for this album outisde a niche group of people and Gaga isn't interested in her base anymore 2
John Slayne Posted November 4, 2023 Posted November 4, 2023 i love ARTPOP, but y'all are clowns for thinking Act II is going to happen. you need to move on, it's been 10 years.
TrashMagiq Posted November 4, 2023 Posted November 4, 2023 DJWS reminds me of those old Disney/Nickelodeon stars that are still talking about the show they were on 15+ years ago on a podcast 3 1
HEAVYONIT Posted November 4, 2023 Posted November 4, 2023 Act II was never coming and idk why y'all actually thought it was. I hope she does something special for the anniversary though. It’s one of my favorite albums from her.
BOAZ Posted November 4, 2023 Posted November 4, 2023 Aside from all the reasonings that she has expressed towards this album, I also suspect she doesn't want the media to revisit all the problematic moments this era had. Even though I can see some outlets publishing retrospective reviews and analysis on the album in the next weeks 1
differentkindahigh Posted November 4, 2023 Posted November 4, 2023 (edited) Good. DJ White Shadow & Artpop II can rot after what he said about Madonna all those years ago. Won't ever forget. Let Gaga move on from his messy a**. Chromatica was miles better. Edited November 4, 2023 by differentkindahigh 1
Joesuxx Posted November 4, 2023 Posted November 4, 2023 Just wanna say these plans were always DJWS’s plans and literally nobody else’s. Did anyone honestly think this was ever gonna happen.
Reginald Posted November 4, 2023 Posted November 4, 2023 (edited) Not the never-ending liddo narrative that Gaga hates ARTPOP That's what we need to let go of! Bloodpop had to practically drag her into the studio because she "didn't want to be a popstar" anymore Tony reinvigorated her love for music when she wanted to quit altogether. She starts off every album cycle by talking about her trauma, and how hard the album was to create, so does she hate Joanne and Chromatica as well? Edited November 4, 2023 by Reginald
Europe Posted November 4, 2023 Posted November 4, 2023 36 minutes ago, Reginald said: She starts off every album cycle by talking about her trauma, and how hard the album was to create, so does she hate Joanne and Chromatica as well? She said Joanne was a futile attempt to reconnect with her father which ultimately did not succeed, so maybe. 1
Kimi Posted November 4, 2023 Posted November 4, 2023 Artpop will be acknowledged once she's full time legacy act and y'all will get those demos but for 30th anniversary, not sooner 3
Shimenawa Posted November 4, 2023 Posted November 4, 2023 We want The Fame Monsta II & Born This Way II. Not this crap! But she can leak Onion Girl & Temple for the fans
Infatuation_Junkie Posted November 4, 2023 Posted November 4, 2023 Her artpop act 2 could mean anything. 1
Marry The Gods Posted November 4, 2023 Posted November 4, 2023 I love ARTPOP but Act II was never happening. ARTPOP and Joanne are good albums but they sound like someone who is going through an identity crisis. Even though Chromatica is my least favorite album from her, it is a more cohesive body of work than ARTPOP and Joanne. I really hope she's in a better headspace for LG7 because since ARTPOP it seems like every album has caused her trauma with the exception of her jazz albums of course.
Gesamtkunstwerk Posted November 4, 2023 Posted November 4, 2023 She obviously can't stand ARTPOP and if anyone remembers when it was released, it's understandable, because she didn't seem to be all ok in the head during that time. Let her forget it
fra Posted November 4, 2023 Posted November 4, 2023 I think most of what surrounds ARTPOP and the way Gaga feels about it comes from fans assumptions. Of course it was a difficult time for her personally in private and public life which directly reflected on the fortunes of the era but that doesn't mean she has or wants to erase the album from mind and scene. Most of her work comes from a place of pain as a way to heal or just scream. Her "forgetting" ARTPOP while revising past work for tours or performances just reflects the fact that as it didn't connect white most of the pubblic she would just give people what she thinks they'll like but still she honered ARTPOP in some occasions, it just depends on the audience she's talking to. For this time, as it is its 10th anniversary, something special for the fans and supporters of the album would've been a perfect way to celebrate. I would've loved something and never expected a complete body of work as in act II but maybe like what she did for Born This Way or even Dawn of Chromatica. We still don't know if anything will happen but it hurts that the label or her wouldn't let someone like the producer of the album work on some kind of project, even without her being much involved. At this point I'm just hoping for a new vinyl variant.
Ron Ng Posted November 4, 2023 Posted November 4, 2023 She doesn't care about pop music anymore let alone these anniversaries, look at Born This Way 10th, it's so lazy and uninspired.
attention Posted November 4, 2023 Posted November 4, 2023 still curious to know how songs like tea, sire, onion girl sound like. we finally got nothin on but the radio rework demo and it was underwhelming compared to the original songs like partynauseous, hallelujah, ratchet, red flame were are close to jewels and drugs levels so i dont know if we're really missing out from more artpop cuts
KLatz Posted November 4, 2023 Posted November 4, 2023 I want to say something mean, but I'll keep it cute Let me go stream ARTPOP to calm down
