Britney Spears has had a #6 hit just last year. The last time Christina Aguilera was able to chart was over a decade ago.

 

Christina Aguilera's most daily streamed song is Genie with 199k streams. Britney's most streamed is Toxic with 1.2M. Even if you take a random flop song from Britney like Criminal, it's performing better than Christina's entire discography, just 20k streams behind Christina's most popular song. Christina has three songs doing at least 100k a day while Britney has like 17-18.

 

Keep in mind that how you feel about your fave is a personnal feeling and not the reality.

People claiming Christina is a leyenda latina but honestly I've never heard people talk about her music here, only on those radios that play old music for soccer moms. Thalia, Paulina Rubio, RBD girls, and even JLO seem like way bigger artists and they are all around from the same time. I honestly know her from the voice and stan twitter.

Her and her peers are all ICONS, they're still young to be grouped into legendary status. Christina served and dominated during her prime and peak years, she made an impact, her voice is recognized by many and her tours still sell very well or sell out. It's NOT easy for an artist to have 5 #1s, sell more than 80 million records world-wide and go on successful tours. She doesnt have to sell 762 million records to be considered a legend or have a #1 every 2 years.. How old are you guys? Diana Ross sold 14 million records in the US (much lower than X), does that take away from her legacy? NO.. Xtina has proven herself, she's done so much for pop culture and she's still active today!

 

For fu*ks sake, she won a Latin Grammy recently and huge companies like Disney, Sony, Paramount and Nintendo have hired her to sing for them or shoot ads for them, she's active and still kicking more than 20 years into her career!  She has 2 very iconic records (debut and Stripped), and one that left a huge mark on pop culture (B2B).. She has #1s all over the world! You must be such a lonely loser to degrade her this way just because your fav. has sold 50 or 100 million records more than her making it seem like she's Lumidee, not Christina ******* Aguilera!! Britney Spears is credited as one of the two lead artists on Hold Me Closer and is singing on it just as much as Elton John.

 

It ain't The Army who's making fun of your fave's stats it is every single fanbase. Christina Aguilera is a featured artist on Moves Like Jagger and has a twenty seconds bridge. She is a featured artist on Feel This Moment. It's different for Say Something. The song already existed before she jumped on it but she still has some lead credits on it. Despite Say Something's and Scream & Shout's success being mainly due to Aguilera and Spears, these songs do not belong to them. You see ?

I just checked on Wikipedia. Her latest album "Christina Aguilera" has charted on one official album chart around the world, in Spain at #69. The Billboard Hot 100 despite its flows is the main and most important chart in the world and the one everyone uses on ATRL. The last time one of the songs she released charted on it was in 2012. 11 years ago.

I'm happy to see you've been following Britney Spears' streams closely 

It is true to note that the streams have went a little up since the release of her memoir. Though they have always been much higher than Aguilera's. I am wondering what you meant with the last sentance though considering it applies to Christina even more. They debuted in 1998 and 1999. Spears has never released an album during the streaming era and has been retired since 2016 while Aguilera is still very active and often releases music. None of them are supposed to be streaming artists and should not be held to the same standards as more recent and new artists who have many tracks from an album reaching 100M on Spotify : )

nothing. She was never as big as people here make us think all the time.  

Her biggest achievement was being compared to Britney Spears just bc they were both white and blonde:
- Her sales are mediocre.
- Her tour stats are mediocre.
- Her streams are mediocre.
- Her views on YouTube are mediocre.
- Critics drag her albums all the time.

All of the above shows that she has ZERO remembered hits or albums.

- Aside from the Grammys, her awards stats are mediocre.

She is probably the biggest Mandela effect in the music. Artists like Gaga, Katy, Lana, Avril or Rihanna have a bigger legacy than her and even artists like Ariana, Miley, Billie and Dua Lipa feel bigger than her in the music industry.
