What movie/TV shows that share a similar premise, or theme(s) of one of your faves, essentially replaced that movie/show & is now your new fave?

 

I'll just say that first & foremost, Black Mirror pretty much CLEARED all dystopian-futuristic thrillers for me.

 

Also, when Glee came out in, it essentially was a more fleshed out & PG High School Musical to me. 

 

Another example (although both not necessarily my faves) but Euphoria single-handedly ANNILATED 13 Reasons Why as the go-to edgy "messed up Gen Z high schoolers" show. 

 

Maze Runner > Hunger Games for YA dystopian films.

Supernatural has been my favourite show since 2005 and after watching it live for 15 years, I can’t see any other show ever replacing it for me. I recently watched Buffy for the first time and absolutely fell in love with it, but it’s definitely not replaced Supernatural.
