What on earth? He was so young I wasn't aware of his troubles but it's even sadder to think that he got through all of that only to end like this. My heart goes out to his family and loved ones.

My heart immediately sunk reading this. I loved Matthew growing up on Friends (he and Courteney brought so much laughter and love throughout the show) and I always made a point to watch his other work because of how funny, charismatic, and compelling he was. My deepest condolences go out to his family and loved ones. A horrible tragedy to lose him, I truly hope he's resting in peace.

I spent so much time watching Friends as a teenager. I really dreaded the day one of them went.

This is really devastating. With all the problems Friends had, that show was such a staple in my life growing up. I remember my mom crying when we watched the finale together as it aired. It brought so much comfort and joy to so many people and I hope Matthew knew that even with his own struggles. RIP
