This the the first TV for me that feels like a downgrade. The only TV tracks that sound better to me are Clean and Bad Blood

For me, 1989 is the era I became a fan of hers and it’s one of the albums I replayed the most through headphones. Needless to say, it feels like Taylor asked Jack to add his own spin on some of the tracks (and vault tracks) as opposed to trying to match the original production and well, that’s my main problem. I’m just so used to the old production and her own vocals so I’m gonna be keeping the og version in my library :chick1:

 

(also none of the Vault tracks hit imo :redface:)

TV is on par or better than the original on most songs. She could’ve kept the vault though.

The bulk of the re-recorded album was Christopher Rowe, Jack only did 3 songs. This stale take is rly starting to grate my nerves fr

 

OT: Style was the only song on the 1st listen I wasn’t rly feeling but it’s already grown on me. Most of the album is a significant improvement. Welcome to New York specifically

Honestly the only stolen version that sounds MILES better is New Romantics. The rest of the her versions sound pretty much the same or better so :cm:

All of the OG's, with ease. Accidentally voted TV though.

My main problem with some of the new versions is that her vocals sound phoned in and she doesn’t sell the passion she had when she recorded the original. Style specifically suffers from this.

i think stolen version is better for pop music lovers cuz the productions go harder

and (taylor version) is better for those who likes taylor post 2020 music more

 

it's not that different tho so everyone should just stream taylor version imo
