zzmyth Posted October 27, 2023 Posted October 27, 2023 Rated R - 75 Unapologetic - 61 Anti - 75 All of them deserve a +85 1
Kimi Posted October 27, 2023 Posted October 27, 2023 The truth is that all of your faves big albums would've been acclaimed now. No need for stan wars over this, every MPG would have at least 1 critically acclaimed body of work. It's no coincidence that before poptimism only Madonna got some acclaim sometimes. And Taylor is the best example, her albums didn't get better with time it's just back then critics would rather kill themselves than acclaim a young female pop star. 2
Peak Now Posted October 27, 2023 Posted October 27, 2023 I think all pop albums would be more acclaimed now because 1. poptimism, 2. it's no longer socially acceptance to dunk on young female artists as if there's no tomorrow and 3. stan Twitter.
jomarr Posted October 27, 2023 Posted October 27, 2023 Blackout comes to mind. Taking into consideration its influence and impact which largely contributed to the shift in pop music at the time. Also if critics take off their Disney hat towards Hilary Duff, Dignity would also be acclaimed.
