original_lifeline Posted April 24 Posted April 24 this was such a bad album. even worse than Poster Girl. so unfortunate to watch her career dissolve!
Lady Claire Posted April 24 Posted April 24 Watched the official Venus Tour stream and she killed it!! The stage is pretty simple but she owns it and the setlist is bops on bops on bops. Even though Venus is not her strongest record she def sells it as it is. I highly reccomend It hurts me how underrated as a performer she is. She needs a bigger stage and far more attention 1

Edibles. Posted April 29 Posted April 29 I'm absolutely not paying the price of a Kygo ticket to see her. Good luck, babe. 1 1

makeawish Posted April 29 Posted April 29 i think this is a good album tbh. the main criticism i've seen is of the ballads but really there's only soundtrack which is bad (tho tbf it's bloody awful and you should never allude to radiohead), the others are fine imo. it is quite an anonymous album, it doesn't have a lot of character or any real narrative, but they're fun songs and sometimes that's enough, i don't always need everything to be some big emotional thing. i was wary of how much i liked it because so many people have slagged it off and it doesn't seem to have much of a base online at all but in the end i don't really care, many bops were made. 1
everyhappily2 Posted April 29 Posted April 29 i don't know why u guys hate on some artists just because their work doesn't meet your expectation. zara can easily pull off any MPGs. i think she is experimenting with this record. she deserves more. she is a real star and artist. 1

I wouldn't even mind if those were just some of the leaked ones but would die for completely new ones I feel like this era/album kinda came and went besides the small venues so some longevity would be cool Small venues? Sis has been on tour. I say after her festival leg in the summer. She does a few dates for north and south America like she promised. She can drop a deluxe edition to hold us over. Start the new era and drop the new album next year. On 4/5/2024 at 9:53 PM, Lady Claire said: She's already working on the new album so safe to say that after the tour, the era is officially over. A summer edition would be cute like she did with PG but i think she'll just leave it alone No we need to press her to release Day And Night, Comfort Zone, Trouble, Dancing Is Dreaming With Your Feet asap. Also where is her NOTD and new Clean Bandit collab at? Both albums are just your standard pop albums. Are more consistent compared to the polarizing So Good. Her career has far from dissolved. She needs a better A&R management and promo asap though. She is fantastic live. Get on shows asap. Her doing a festival run is a step in the right direction. 10 hours ago, Edibles. said: I'm absolutely not paying the price of a Kygo ticket to see her. Yeah it's pretty harmless pop fodder. A nice Escape.mp3 that's for sure. But knowing MNEK is gonna be curating, writing and producing her next albums means we're gonna be guaranteed quality for sure 5 hours ago, everyhappily2 said: i don't know why u guys hate on some artists just because their work doesn't meet your expectation. zara can easily pull off any MPGs. i think she is experimenting with this record. she deserves more. she is a real star and artist. She's the kind of popstar that would've exceed in the late 2000s or early 2010s she exudes all the ingredients to be a main pop girls but just lacks the quality in consistency and the poor management and promotion doesn't help either. The way that her career would've been in a completely different trajectory if she would've released A Different Way by DJ Snake If during the SO GOOD era she • Kept Back And Forth, Naked, Everything, But I Do and Walk Away for herself and released them as singles • Wanna featuring Tinashe the missed opportunity to serve • Tap Out featuring Zedd • Wait For Me If during POSTER GIRL era • included Don't Worry Bout Me and All The Time on the album everywhere • If she kept Clubbin, Dirty Martini and It's A Dub for herself and released them as singles Now for VENUS she needs to release a deluxe with the following • Everything • Day And Night • Comfort Zone • Trouble • Dancing Is Dreaming With Your Feet • Pink 2

makeawish Posted April 30 Posted April 30 19 hours ago, SchmoodRing said: Yeah it's pretty harmless pop fodder idk that harmless is the word. a lot of people make actually bad pop records, but this is not that. it's one of those records where most of the songs sound like the kind of catchy dance pop that's usually at #14 in the UK charts in a given week, but i usually like those songs so i think it's fine. if the incoming, fully MNEK produced thing is more conceptually coherent and feels like more of a properly conceived album then that's all good, but the fact that she made a record as good as this without seeming to try very hard is a mark in her favour imo 1
NoAngelus Posted April 30 Posted April 30 There are albums that I enjoy and I would gladly call harmless pop fodder. But this one just wasn't. It's offensively bland, generic and uninspired. Andthat's like 4th album in a row. So it's not just a filler album or harmless pop fodder. It's her. She has such a great charisma, stage presence, voice, but has no taste in music and can't make a decent album. 1

It has some of the highest highs in her discography but also some of the worst
ThousandMiles Posted May 2 Posted May 2 I fear You Love Who You Love will be #1 in my Spotify Wrapped 2024 1
makeawish Posted May 2 Posted May 2 fans of the low effort zara era are winning imo, it's good to be easily pleased 1
makeawish Posted May 3 Posted May 3 the "gimme ammunition, i wanna give us a shot" lyric may be one of the most tortured metaphors that i've ever heard in pop music, i got past it in the end but it's really bad
makeawish Posted May 4 Posted May 4 otoh "got me feeling like ooh, nanana yeah, nanana woah" from escape is the best lyric written this year, will not be taking questions on this 1

Lady Claire Posted May 8 Posted May 8 Zara will perform this year at Rock in Rio and will receive the Kim Petras treatment since they put her on a terrible day with acts that doesn't really know/like her music but hopefully i'll be in the front row supporting my girl 1

It makes no sense for her to be on that day.
